The PS3 version sure looks more blurry.

Oh, thats mainly because of quincunx AA. Lots of PS3 games use it because you cannot do better on PS3.

See this thread ->

http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=55284

It blurs stuff nicely and of course resolution matters too.

u can but require some use of the cell, thats implementation one.

in that way you could not only do MSAAx2 but HDR FP 16 like uncharted 1 - 2 or heavenly sword.

id agree if they were the same sword how do we no if the 360 version of the same sword isnt blurry

360 sword is bigger = less blurr
PS3 sword is smaller = more blurr

I am thinking the same thing. Why compare different swords?

Why compare swords at all? When I think of inferior graphics I think of less detailed atmosphers and character design... not a blurry piece of metal you need to blow up to 500% to see.

^that too.

Now if only they would make all the extras DLC for the 360. They could make some money there, especially if the PS3 version ends up inferior graphics wise.

It's just that simple.

I finally see it. The PS3 font size is bigger for the characters HP.

Is that it?

@zen..........i sit 7 feet away from my telly.........and 1080p looks better than 720p difference is clear ........theres nothin u can show me that will make my telly make 1080p & 720p look same because it isnt..........SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP

Read further in the thread.

Also, I would be remiss not to point out that 1080p's champions seem to also be PS3 fans, which is the only console that truely takes advantage of the format, and in my opinion, some of those people MAY have alterior motives to attempting to make people believe 1080p is a huge advantage. The vast ocean of difference between SD and HD makes the difference between 1080 and 720 look like a drop of water in said ocean, IMHO.

I mean, if 1080p is that vastly superior to 720p, then ToV and Ghostbusters must seem completely unplayable to you. For you to set 7 feet away, you need to have at least a 42 inch screen to tell the difference between 720p and 1080p, assuming 20/15...and you need a 60 inch TV to get the full benefit at that distance.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Guys please note the below:

This results in a somewhat uneven form of scaling for PS3 owners, compounded by the anti-aliasing solution chosen: quincunx, which combined with the lower resolution adds a somewhat obvious, and unwelcome, blur to the game

What EUgamer is saying is that the lower resolution result in a more 'blur' effect than the already slightly blurred 360 version which detracts from the overall image quality, the game shouldn't be significantly inferior, but there should be a noticeable (if slight) difference.

This should NOT be a big negative to most end consumer, especially if you have only the PS3; the game is still just as enjoyable and has been enhanced with additional features.

If however this end up being the resolution used in the final built, you should certainly be critical of Namco for their rather lackluster effort, this game in no way pushes the boundary of the PS3 and considering they've already ported an excellent Eternal Sonata over (which had better cell shading graphic!) this is somewhat of a black mark.

Look at this from the point of a critical consumer who should demand the best because -dammit- you deserve it. The product can suffice but don't let Namco feel that this is a action that can be tolerated as a long term business practice.

OFT. I really don't want to have to spend another $60 for the same game

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Small difference anyway...

It's actually pretty big on paper, this is the type of technical difference I'd expect during the Madden 08 days... I have not seen either game in motion on a full 40" + TV yet so I cannot be a true udge (I don't plan to flood myself with story and gameplay info until I've purchase the game) but 921600 vs 737280 is missing 184320 pixels! Thats a large piece of onscreen real estate to be missing!

Yeah, but FFXII used less pixels than X however XII had the better graphics.
