1 Pounds worth more than 2 dollars... and 1 euro is worht more than 1.33 dollars so... the real big news is that they were harvesting on EU with the exchange rate...

Basically they are getting the 40GB for $600. Mind you, the rest of the console makers are ripping off Europe as well.

Make that less than $470 after taking out VAT, import taxes and other fees (and higher retailer margin than in the US). The ripoff is not nearly as big as most people think.
