Regardless of how good a game could be, it will not please everyone.
Imagine 10% of people felt that it didn't live up to the hype. That's a lot of outrage reviews.

Well except for the PS comment, I agree with you. This generation pisses me off. If any game scores less than a 9 it automatically sucks. And when any game goes from exclusive to multi, it just doesn't matter anymore and is going to be a piece of trash.

Another thing that somewhat bothers me is how much people bitch and moan amount every single little teeny wheeny fault in a game.

I may give DQ8 another chance, once I get through all my new games though. =)

if your really a gamer you would buy a game you like not a game that sold alot.

This gen is not typical. You had a market leader fall to third, a company that many thought was done for way in first selling games forum goers do not typically like and MS ahead in the HD console race. Not only that, costs of games (dev and shelf price) are increasing while personal income is stagnet or falling.

Actual fans are not bitching about the game. They are enjoying it.

If you are a real fan of DQ you wouldn't bitch about the game being on X system. You just get the system, play it and enjoy it. That's it. Like most people who bought the game in Japan are doing. Not the few crying babies out there, complaining about the game being in the DS

404 Rated the game as 1 & 2 star. So we have 404 people complaining about the game...out of 3 million, not bad.

I mean, we're using amazon japan as the main source for this? Come on

as much as i know the famitsu review ain't out yet, that means it probably scored crap and SE is paying famitsu to hold it back, but then again no SE game can score bad on famitsu.
