Looks like Blazblue has already outsold most of the recent Guilty Gear games 
GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
Well there you have it, the differences between the 360 and PS3 versions of blazblue in sales are rather negligible. Apparently there is just not enough 360 sympathizers on this site or something.
Does anyone think this game has a shot at the mainstream? I for one am harrassing all my personal friends to get it of which I already convinced one.
I don't think it can, but perhaps it'll make a name for itself and if there's a sequel it will sell at least 500k.
No, it won't break the mainstream.
Leave that to Soul Caliber, Tekken, and Street Fighter. No other upcoming fighting game will.
Dissidia has a chance though.
Tekken isn't mainstream for competition, neither is Soul Caliber, this will definitely be big when it comes to Evo and such.
On a side note, I FUCKING HATE NEOL. Shes so god damn cheap, takes so much dmg away, and is just fucking stupid and broke.
The Halo francise is the most overrated bland game to ever hit the console market. It provides a bad name to all FPS that even showed effort at creating an original entertaining plot.

Soul Caliber and Tekken will outsell every Guilty Gear, King of Fighters, BlazBlue, etc. very, very easily.
I forgot Smash Brothers. That's the biggest fighting game of all time.

I wouldn't be surprised if the 360 version is sellin better or on par but I live in downtown Manhattan and exactly they simply didn't anticipate demand for the PS3 version and thus each store got like 15 copies of the PS3 varsion vs. 40 for the 360 version so the PS3 version was sold out.

We confirmed that they have very similar sales. It's about 23k for both.
The basis is the leaderboards.
Perhaps ps3 would be have a bit more had the stock not been limited.
Tekken and SC are NOT taken serious when it comes to fighting tournaments, they are bottom of the barrel and mostly ignored.

I'm sure, but fighting tournaments are not mainstream. Tekken, SC, SF, and Smash Bros. are.
