Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Conduit - metascore of 74!

comparing to hd is dumb. this game aint even on hd. and most hd fps aint even on the wii. at least make comparison when they are on all systems like call of duty: world at war.
ps3 = 85
360 = 84
wii = 83 which is a gimped version.
so its just 2 pt difference between hd and wii games if they are on all consoles. i bet all other hd fps would have similar scores on the wii, even if they are gimped lolz. hd is overrated.

I'm surprised by the little reaction people here are having despite the low metacritic for a game with large amounts of hype, Killzone 2 would have been torn to shreds if it got a metacritic of just 74, same goes for Halo 3. Seems like double stands to me, but then again this doesn't surprise.

It does nothing new. The new control scheme isn't gonna merit higher scores forever beciause of how cool and intuitive i is. Eventually they are gonna have to match PS3 and 360 shooters in quality. If they can, great. Apparently a good amount of reviewers think otherwise here. I usually favor IGN, so their score was pretty good if you ask me. Then again, they tend to go easier on all games than the likes of EDGE, Eurogamer, etc.

Yeah, I never listen to EDGE or Eurogamer, they give low scores to too many games.

It was expected.   Look at the developer.  I love HVS for their enthusiasm but this isn't a developer with any sort of AAA pedigre especially not in FPS.    Look at the game itself, it was known to be generic and lacking in art direction long before it came out.    There was never any way this game was going to be 90's.  Even 80's was a stretch (if it's only being compared to other Wii games, yes, but compared to other FPS - no way).

But the hype is justified still because it is a great, fun FPS and has the most robust online multiplayer Wii has ever seen.

Something thats bugged me for a while...

If all you people complaining, count the Wii as current gen... why cant its games be compared to those on PS360?

This is a 7.5 game. 6.5 if on ps360...but extra point for offering a good FPS experience on online gimped Wii.

I'm afraid the game would be far lower then a 6.5 on an HD console...

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

The game is great compared to other games on Wii, but if you compare it to other games on the HD consoles it doesnt seem that good at all

Not at all. It would have better graphics, yet worse control. How could that equal a lower score?

The same reason HD consoles aren't docked points for gimpy dual analog?
