Well they used to be able to (somewhat), back in the ps1 era.
RPG's were 100 hours long, but now it's all about the graphics..
Of course VNs is just a superb medium for telling a story. It has the details of a book, the pics of a Manga and some animation and music akin to anime. Of course being somewhat of a cross-between, it doesn't specialize in animation and pics. But what it has is very passable.
Btw F/S N is one of the best VN's out there, so you can't really compare just any game in a genre against it.

Also, you don't need to get all the tiger stamps for the final epilogue.

Did your main screen change after you achieved 5 endings?
also, try using the save data that came with the patch and see if kotomine's battle scenes are different.

This patch has the epilogue and the "more CG pics per battle" patch.

But that's realta nua =/ I could only find the original version. Would it still work? BTW, can you PM where I can download realta nua? I want my friend to play it, but don't think he'll want to with the H scenes.

It tries to turn your PC game into a Realta Nua Hybrid.

The Mirrormoon patch already tries to turn your PC game into a realta Nua hybrid audio wise by adding voice overs. Mirrormoon makes it difficult because of their moral stance. Pretty much to add voices you have to extract the voice files from the PS2 game after you install the PC game. Which takes hours... My cd drive was hot after I was done..

The Realta Nua Patch I posted is not a Mirrormoon project though so you don't need the Realta Nua CD to install that.

Also, a Realta Nua patch isn't out yet.
Nor have I heard about a project like that.
That's hard because you have to build a ps2 emulator along with it.

Though Message, a Mod over at Mirrormoon, is working for a non ero Patch where he is going to replace the sex scenes in the PC version with the Kid friendly scene from Realta Nua.
Last I heard he estimated a Summer release. Though it's just an estimate. Though since it's a Mirrormoon project, it's a given you're going to need to need to extract from Realta Nua to make the patch work.

While I thought the H scenes were really awkward and out of place in the first two routes, I actually think that the H scenes in HF were really appropriate. It could only add to all the fucked up-ness of that story, along with the references to the id and desire.

I absolutely hate Shinji!!! I think I read someone commenting that they could sympathize with Shinji, and thought that Sakura was selfish. While I don't think Sakura was completely not responsible, Shinji is just inexcusable. I'm familiar with the feelings of inferiority, and frusturation. I would have even let him go with his occasional slaps and even punches against Sakura, but what she went through was absolutely horrific. She was raped constantly by both her Grandfather, and her brother. The brother destroyed her room everyday, hit her everyday, and emotionally abused her. I'm not even getting much into details, but he's an absolute monster.

About the Movie: Haha I know, at first everything seems so Random.
With inconsistencies everywhere, and then boom everything makes sense, even the Movie title was cleverly made.
What really got to me were the clones, Enjou and the puppet Touko. They were who they were, and even though they weren't the real ones they had their own pesonality that made them them. The puppet Touko had a cute Cat as a familiar and she came off kinder giving kokuto that cigarrette because she knew she wasn't going to make it, the real Touko had some sort of centipede monster as her familiar. It was sad, and eventhough they were just clones, it feels like their character actually died with them. Touko just wanted to continue on her day to day life, while enjou didn't get to fulfill his dream. 'Twas awesome. *_* ...   T___T
