I just played through 1,2, and 3; and Halo 1's levels and feel just seem so much larger in scale. I don't know if it is just the idea that it was so ground-breaking, but 2 and 3 while great in their own right, they pale in comparison.

No...Halo 1 is much better than Halo 2 & 3. That being said....I'll make you a bet someone is going to come in here and say Halo is crap.

Hmmm. I played Halo 2 first, then Halo 3, and then Halo CE last. I personally felt that the first Halo dragged really bad. I got about 2/3rds through it and never finished. I'm glad it's not the first one I tried, I may never have experienced the sequels

Specifically the scale of the levels in 2 and 3 seem smaller. I also think 1 was the best, even though the pistol was ridiculous.

I only ever finished the first Halo campaign, and I thought it was really good. I can't comment on the second two, since I played through on my friend's Xbox. The levels certainly did have an "epic" feel to them, and I enjoyed playing through the more open areas.

I like the multiplayer on Halo 2 and Halo 3 though. They're really fun.

Never really payed attention to the story in Halo, just played it for multiplayer. I miss dual-wielding Needlers though.

I would agree that Halo CE is more epic in scale and also as a whole than 2 or 3.

if you mean with "best" the "worst", then you're correct :)
