Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Shia LaBeouf (Transformers) calls Wii "an amateur console"

Egh, who cares what he thinks. I don't see him as anything else beside an actor, so I don't give a crap.

Is that why you wouldn't play LEGO Star Wars with Megan Fox on the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen?
Correct. Who wants to play the Wii version of LEGO Star Wars. I'd rather eat glass.

...

LaBeouf may be gamer by his own definition, but he's not a man. Seriously.

Anyway, I think he's a good actor.

I think he makes Keanu Reeves look like a charismatic ubermensch.

But to each his/her own, I gues

It's his opinion, why are all of you getting upset over it?

It's bashing. Why are all of you thinking he just stated an opinion?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

If a good actor said it than it would be sad he does not get the Wii

But who the hell is that amateur?

He's the same type of gamer as most of the posters on this site.

The difference being he probably doesn't spend his time voicing his opinion on internet forums since that's not what he gets paid to do (face it; only a few on here actually do). He gets paid to act in big budget movies that bring in huge takes at the box office.

Say what you will about the guy for "dissing" the Wii. It just puts him in the same category as the majority of most long time gamers in the male 18-35 demographic.

He still got paid more to act in Tranformers 2 (which will bring in hundreds of millions of dollars regardless of how crappy anyone says it will be) than just about everyone on here will likely make IN THEIR LIFETIME. And he got paid this salary to co-star with Megan Fox. And say what you will about her too; she's still considered the current hottest woman in Hollywood by the masses.

How the hell did this reach 8 pages?

A better question is why you have VGC set to 10 posts per page.

Ok, let me rephrase this.

Why have people wasted 80 posts in this thread?

Quiet you. I'm making a fortune in vg$ here :P

Yeah, ad hominim attacks mean squat for this. His comment was BS, but that just means his comment was BS. Attack him for that, not him personally.

Normaly i respect peoples opinions (no matter how stupid it is) .........but not when theres someone who thinks they're a *gamer* becuase they dont play a specific console (wii) and thinks people who play that console are not true gamers.

"Buddy, I'm a gamer. Not just the fake ones you read about. " Shia just stick to acting.

Well I already hated him, and now I hate him even more. When I read this before, I thought it was a joke. Nobody could sound that stupid in an interview. I suppose I was mistaken.

Well someone within the gaming press thought it would be a brilliant idea to interview him on his opinions regarding games. But it's pretty clear that gaming is one of his favorite hobbies.

Diplomacy is clearly not one of the guy's better traits though. Somehow I doubt he particularly cares if he stepped on the toes of any massive Nintendo fans out there.
