I think Valve has stated multiple times that they're fine with EA porting their games to the PS3. They just won't do it themselves.

Having the "cover art" means nothing. Several retailers had the "cover" and were taking pre-orders for the first L4D for PS3 and we all know how that turned out.

@Dougsdad: PC fans are bitching. X360 fans are fine with paying full price.

But wouldnt it be strange if Left 4 dead 2 did come to ps3 but not the first one, looks like this could end up like with Mass effect 2 rumors.

So EA had not enough confidence in L4D to port it over, but now that they've seen the sales of this new IP (even if it's made by the great VALVe) they will port it?

That makes alot of sense. Being exclusive helps new IP's get themselves off the ground and gives them a name. Now L4D has a name, I think this could be true...

Something like that... or maybe they just lacked the resources to do it when L4D was coming out, but this time they planned in advance.

And why this is important for the sony fanboys? This game is also on PC.

I wouldn't be surprised if EA decided to port it. Not sure I'd want to touch an EA port though ...

Eh, because I really enjoyed playing L4D at my mates house, I only have a PS3 and a non-gaming laptop.
