I think most Europeans (I don't like footy games at all) will pick it up for their PS2 and not pay 600Euros instead.

 Euros are not cheep, especially when it comes to anything soccer related.  With the Euro cup coming this is the perfect time for a PES bundle.

Why would this bundle destroy everything?
I could understand if the game was PS3 exclusive but the bundling rights? Thats not going to do anything major.

With no sign of a PS3 reduction in the UK.  At the moment you can pickup the PS3, 2 games and 2 controllers for £399.  I would hope the PES 2008 Special Edition PS3 would come into the market as a decent price...say £349.

Pricing will be a huge factor with this special pack.  If by some miracle, Sony and Konami could get the pack out at close to £299, then a reckon there would be a huge uptake in sales of the pack. 

£ 350-375 would be perfect pricing.

PES is huge in the EU ... much bigger than FIFA . That , WOW and HL1/2 are the only games in Romania that still sell out as soon as they hit the stores :)

I can't wait to see the sales numbers after this hits. I wonder how much Sony can close the gap in Europe this Holiday.

Well, it turns out that PES 2008 is really crappy on the PS3... Online play is practically unplayable and there are also slowdowns during offline play.

People are pretty pissed off. Konami will issue a patch, but it's unknown when.

I hope they will iron all the bugs(crappy play) before the bundle, because if not - it could fail. Well, i can't fail, but won't reach it's potential.

It's weird how devs have problems mostly with ps3 versions of the games... hope that will be solved soon, and give the PS3 a shot that it probably deserves...
