Did you calibrate WM+ before playing?

i'm just too angry right now to make reasonable statements :)

i haven't tried out all the modes and online and that stuff which might be alright, i'm just talking about the controls.

without wm+ u can hit the ball with no problems and also direct the ball where u want but to get slices and top spins right it's worse compared to wii sports tennis.

with wm+ the controls is all over the place nearly no 1v1 tracking, everything with a delay. To get the direction of the ball right is a bitch, slice and top spin work usually alright and r easier to make than without wm+ but ur caracter runs all over the place so that u often stand wrong to the ball and make a wrong and not intended hit or even make a swing to early or no swing at all.

i was expecting much better and more precise controls than this, maybe virtua tennis is beter i dont know, tiger woods 10 definatley is.

I think this is the crux of most control problems with the game. People play with no nunchuk and the auto-run puts them in an awkward position. It sounds like people who play with a nunchuk have a better experience, although managing your swing while navigating your position is a more complicated game than some people want to play.

I just played it!! I'm disappointed though. Sure after a while you learn how to trick the controls but... the thing I hate is that I hold the control to my right and for some insane reason the game shows it to the left. I mean that is just basic. It's not all the time of course, but it never should be like that, never!! Also, the game tells you to calibrate whenever they get out of whack, but you don't know until you start messing up, sometimes in the middle of a shot. To me it feels rushed. And finally, the game says that your backswing determines placement...not really, timing is still a big factor. Better than wii sports??? Sure, but not necessarly more fun.

ALRIGHT I WON'T BUY THANKS FOR THE TIP!

I have a coupon for a Big Mac, I'll get that instead.

switch the mode to easy

People play on easy mode? I thought "Normal" is the easiest mode.

I bought a copy yesterday (sorry OP...). And I got frustrated right away cause I was really hyped. But after 30 minutes you realise that you can not play it like Wii Sprts Tennis and that it is important to bring the racket back (ie prepare your forehand or backhand). Once you do this, all comes into place.

Learning curve is big on this one which will probably cause more threads such as this but I have a feeling that after many hours on this game, things will just get better and better.

You just have to forget the Tennis on Wii Sports (the controls I mean)...

Elaine: I will never understand people

Jerry: They're the worst.

Well I was never going to get it in the first place. Although I like to watch tennis on TV, I could never really get into it with games. I mean Mario tennis games were fine but still not that great.

Now Tiger Woods 10 is just awesome. Disc golf may be one of the most addictive things ever. And I'm happy to say I'm absolutely awful at the golfing part. That's how realistic you know it is cause I can't golf worth shit haha. I really need to get some practicing down and especially work on my putting haha.

EA was right when they said they did not wanted to make it 1:1

if it was 1:1 you would need to know real tennis to play, from most people and IGN review, it seems like you have to get used to the new controls because they are not Wii Sports Tennis

Tiger Woods is really 1:1 from what i hear

actually, i think that the launch title of WM+ (GST) is a wrong decision because since it's not really 1:1 people that buy it may think the WM+ is just another inaccurate Wii Remote

they should have launched Wii Motion Plus with a game that uses all of it's power like Wii Sports Resort (like they did with Wii Remote)

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Tennis is hard so I assume this game would be hard. I hate tennis, it looks simple but whenever I hit a ball it goes straight up. I might pick it up cause every now and then I enjoy getting pissed while playing a game cause once I'm good at it I feel like I'm badass.

It does take some getting used to, you have to play as if you're actually playing tennis and even though that sounds simple, it really is tough to break out of the Wii Sports habit of flicking your wrist.

I say DO BUY!
