Maybe there will be unlockable 2D Metroids on there too! It's been a while since I've played Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, Metroid Zero Mission, and Metroid 2 (But I don't ever want to play Nes Metroid ever again!).

I bet they save these gems for the DSi, though.

They won't give away free games and I don't like super metroid anyway. Once you start with 3d metroid, you can't go back to 2d I guess.  Those games were probably amazing in their time, but I bought super metroid and got dissapointed with it. Should have bought world of goo lol

I believe this is a bannable offense...

I doubt this is that since he said it was going to be definitive for the system like SMG and Boom Blox, right? How would a rerelease of games that already exist be that?

Oh and Craig just confirmed MP3 save files wont import.

"No, it uses a completely new save system that incorporates the progress of all games into one save file. I'm pretty sure it doesn't import the standalone Metroid Prime 3 save for people who own that game"

Thanks.

Oh well. I think I just beat MP3!

So by the time this trilogy comes out and I've beaten 1 and 2, I may be ready to replay 3 and try for 100 (I think I got 92 of 100 items this go around and there were 2 I knew were there but couldn't get)... unless of course the next Metroid is out already.

Now Playing: Pikmin, Super Mario Galaxy 2

If I don't own this game when it comes out, I'm an idiot, the end.

I know you are all joking. (to a point anyway) but some of you should realise it is difficult for some to get into 2D gaming when we started in 3D.... modern 2D games are ok because they run smoother (gameplay and controls not framerate, although that is probably true too)

There are very few pre-N64/PS1 games I can get into, they need to be simple... like Super Mario, or Sonic the Hedgehog (though I wasn't as keen on Sonic 3)

Which is why I have stopped buying VC games, as most of them are dissapointing.... the 3 VC games I thoroughy enjoyed enough to justify their price are all N64 games (F-Zero X, SM64 and LoZ:MM)... Then Sonic 1 and SM:Lost Levels if I had to lose them I might miss them, but wouldn't buy them again.... the other 5 VC titles I have I would happily give back if I could.

Although if Micro Machines ever graces VC I will jump on the chance to buy it (Mcro Machines is good simple fun)

You just dissed Star Fox 64!

*strangles you too*

Lylat Wars is possibly the most dissapointing of them too.

GAh!!!! Star Fox 64 is my favorite N64 game on the VC!!!!

Im so excited for this MPTrilogy. I was kinda bummed that there is no exclusive content just for the Trilogy bundle, but whatever, it saves me some case. Ill be selling my MP3 for the $10-15 Gamestop is giveing out, before they lower it even more.

This is soo sweet, finally another Wii dual layer disc.
