I just got into next-gen gaming and I'm wondering where do these extreme PS3 haters come from? Didn't they (along with everyone else) own a ps2 last generation?

I mean, I understand where Xbox360 and Wii haters originate but the PS3 haters just confuses me.

They are probably not the new gamers that were introduced to gaming through the wii, I'm guessing.

There's no such thing as brand loyalty among most gamers - the virtues of the PS2 didn't carry over to the PS3 in the eyes of many gamers.

I'm not a PS3 hater, as I own one, but I never owned a PS2. I had a Gamecube and an Xbox, but no PS2. I must admit I felt a certain satisfaction when the PS3 had such a weak launch.

Its wii fanboys who never owned a gamecube and 360 owners who never had an xbox. They jumped from the PS2 bandwagon to the Wii/360 bandwagons.
