Forums - Sales Discussion - Halo 3 > Killzone 2 this April in America (NPD)

I haven't played Killzone 2, but perhaps it's simply not as accessible as Halo 3 and COD4/5. I mean, this is assuming Killzone 2 is a good game to begin with, right? There has to be a reason some people just simply won't pick it up when there's obviously awareness about it. :(

halo 3 is just plain and simple, a better fps than killzone 2

Terrible analysis. Sales have nothing to do with quality. Considering how Halo 3 is one of the best selling games of all time, it makes perfect sense for it to continue selling well even a year and a half after it's launch. I mean, even GTA: San Andreas is still selling good for ps2.

On the other hand, Killzone 2 is a sequel from a relatively unknown game that's struggling a bit in America, the ps3's weakest turf.

Not this again....

Wait. Don't tell me you think high sales = awesome game.

No it's not that..It's that for some reason...Ps3 people think that Halo 3 has no Quality..Which is much Fail

Please, show me where I said that ?

The poster I quoted said justified the OP's post saying that Halo 3 is selling more because it's a better game, which is an extremely irrationnal thing to say. There's plenty of thing other than the quality of the game itself that you have to take into consideration when looking at the sales.

Of Which game?

Both...

Isn't Halo 3 bundled with the 360 Elite?

I guess I'll have to stop enjoying Killzone 2

''Halo owned'',..in all your faces,,,, sorry ,..lol

Halo 3 is my game of this geneneration thus far. And only game this gen that goes in to my top 10 games I've ever played. Its one of the few HD console games that made sure group play and high fun factor are always present...and not really put much emphasis on things like draw distance, polygon counts in models and amazing textrures...sacrificing goodies like split screen and coop.

I have not played killzone 2 much but from what Ive seen and played, it will never have the charisma, universal appeal and sheer fun factor Halo 3 does.

Don't get me wrong, Killzone 2 is one bad ass shooter...but it is more comparable to COD4 than halo 3. There is nothing else like Halo 3 available this gen IMO...other than maybe L4D which is similarly unique in its own way.

Now as far as sales, I dont think higher selling games always represent better quality games...but in this case, I agree with this logic.
