Fanboys make me smile

The Final Fantasy XIII main story is definitely on PS3, but that doesn't exclude the possibility of a spin-off or sequel on Wii (Like XII : Revenant Wings for DS or X-2). Kingdom Hearts 3 on Wii is a definite possibility, however. :) But we won't know 'till FFXIII is done, since the director of KH is busy and won't start a 2nd project. :) Shenmue isn't for me, but I'd LOVE to see a Skies of Arcadia 2 for Wii. :D

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

Oh yeah, I just wanna say some other games I expect to be announced for PS3. PS3 Sports PS3 Golf Sony Brain Puppy poo' pickup Cooking Daddy Helgast Party And last but not least. Kratos Smash

Nintendo: You have to remember despite Nintendo showing alot of footage they haven't had alot of playable demos for the media. For example the media has yet to see even a Nintendo rep playing Mario Galaxy, we've only seen a trailer of Smash Bros. with no gameplay footage. They've had playable music demo which I assume is now apart of Wii Music. We've yet to see anything at all for Wii Health. So my guess is Nintendo will have the following playable: Playable: Mario Galaxy Smash Bros. Wii Music Wii Health pack Mario chargers Big Brain Acadamy Pokemon Revolution (most like will show off connectivity and online features) Metroid Prime 3 Project HAMMER Disaster: Day of Crisis Being that the American media hasn't played most of these titles and they're slated for this year, and that Nintendo tends to like to keep things secret I really don't think they'll show too much else. They'll probably talk about the success of the Channels, perhaps unveil the first game on the VC that is not a classic but instead a new game with wii-mote support, plus unveil new channels. I think they'll hype the success of Wii Sports/play and talk about health and music, and other possible directions for the franchise. They'll talk about the future of Wii online with pokemon and Metroid, and perhaps talk about some 3rd party titles that will support online features. And MAYBE and this is particularly a maybe if they decide not to have a spaceworld type of event, they'll show a video of a new IP/franchise revival. But knowing Nintendo I don't think they will. I also don't think they'll show the new zelda. yet Nintendo always seems to save something for E3 so we might get something interesting. Microsoft: By then they'll have Forza 2 and Mass Effect on the market, so they'll be talking up Halo 3, halo Wars, episodic content with Peter jackson. Probably show blue Dragon, Lost Odessey, and Fable 2 to show a strong effort to sell in japan and broaden it's genres. We'll hopefully see Alan Wake, and some other titles to. But I think there big announcements are in the form of marketing and demographics. They've been talking alot about Nintendo's family approach, and how they were on the horizon of making big developments in that same direction and that Viva Pinata was the beggining of that. They said one of the things holding them back was price, they are yet to be priced for a family friendly console. So I'm guessing they'll announce a new package with more features and a price drop for the old two packages, and perhaps 2 or 3 titles that push the all ages concept. i'm sure we can count on Banjo Kazooie being there, and something else. Sony: I think Sony will have the least exciting of the three only because they launched alot of fireworks at the GDC. We'll see a playable home on the floor. Little Big Planet of course, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Killzone. I'll be surprised if they have a Resistence sequel there it seems to early, perhaps a video. They may show another game or two on video showing off the Cell's power. But I really don't think they have much else to show contents wise. Game of the show: Mario Galaxy vs. Little Big Planet vs. Halo 3 although it would be great if it was something we all haven't seen yet. Biggest news to look forward to: 360 price drop, Nintendo's franchise revival, and whatever Sony may have up it's sleeve.(if any of these even happen.) Of course this doesn't include any 3rd party stuff, I'm not sure how much their going to show this year with e3's new format, so I simply left them out.

fooflexible - I agree with almost everything you said there except one thing. I expect Killzone to steal Halo3's glory. Everything that I have read about Killzone, puts it up there with the "If all this stuff was put in a game together like this, with this style of gameplay... It would be a truely breakthrough game." The consumer (us) have never seen anything about Killzone2, except the 2005 E3 trailer. Alot of people bash Killzone. I just wanna say one thing about Killzone Liberation. It is STILL supported by sony. It is still getting content added. (the beta for online play just announced closed beta signups) That is a good sign in my book that sony wants Killzone to succeed. The Original Killzone was a great game, it just had some major flaws. I dont see how people can say sony will be the least entertaing. Especially when you see what is coming in the near future, and not quite so near future. THey have the most amazing exclusive lineup. (at least I think so, and alot of people agree) It also wouldn't surprise me, if they show a God of War3 trailer.

I didn't really give much credit to Killzone because the playstion guys at IGN were not excited at all about Killzone 2 from what they saw at GDC. They made it sound like, yeah you run around shoot guys, it's nothing really to get excited about. So until they show a playable game that's amazing I'm banking on Heavenly Sword and Lair being Sony's top dogs at the show.(I'm not saying people aren't going to like Killzone, it just has alot to prove.)

HappySqurriel said: I expect that people will come out of E3 talking about how it was the "Nintendo Show" ... The reason for this is it will seem like practically every newly announced game was either a Nintendo DS or a Wii game ... On Sony's front Final Fantasy XIII will be shown in video form again, MGS will be playable with a 2008 release date, Killzone 2 will be playable and will look nice but be no where near the quality of the E3 2005 video ... People will ask "Where's the PSP?" On Microsoft's front Microsoft will announce a price drop of the priemium 360 to $300 and the introduction of a new HD-DVD version for $400; Halo 3 will impress ...
Maybe. 1 Developer not from Killzones Studio says they have already surpassed the 2005 E3 video trailer. Again, that's just 1 dev. "No where near" I think is a little extreme, because Motorstorm got decently close to its target trailer. It wasn't "No where near" You do know the 360 V2 will NOT feature and HD-DVD drive, M$ already told Toshiba they are not putting it in. It's got HDMI, Wi-fi, and a 120GB hard drive and it will retail for 480. This stuff was already made public info. 2008 on MGS? I highly doubt that, Kojima has never missed his 3 year window or the fall launch.

Which FFXIII? FFXIII lead dev says the AI and graphics and battle sequences are very complicated for this game. He as much said thats why he was using the PS3 for the added background (i.e. supposedly this FF will feature a lot more players on the screen at once and large battle sequences with lots of AI) MGS4 rumor has been beaten to death. Kojima says he only wants it on one system and he also says he needs a 50GB disc to do all the things he wants in the game.

It is just a personal hunch ... When you deal with games like MGS and Final Fantasy the publishers are far more willing to tolerate a delay than they are for lesser titles because the increase in cost is justified by increased sales. Currently it requires a lot more content to produce a PS3 game (than a PS2 game) and it wouldn't take too much to derail a schedule. Basically, I wouldn't be surprised if Kojima found himself 3 months behind schedule and the game was delayed into Q2 of 2008 ...

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised to see Square publish Final Fantasy games on either the XBox 360 or Wii in the future but I would anticipate that the PS3 and XBox 360 got one game (Final Fantasy XIII) while the Wii got another (Final Fantasy XIII-2) ... I would not expect that Square would attempt to use the product they have been developing for the PS3 on the Wii ...

They have had Mario Galaxy in playable form at some previous conference. And I don't think Super Smash Bros will be playable yet...controls are the most important thing to that game, and they won't risk any flaws until near its release I'd guess. I think 3rd parties will make a considerable impact on Nintendo's part as well...more game announcements and dates to be sure.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
