Forums - Sony Discussion - Who here thinks ps3 is Sonys' last videogame console?

Why do you think MS is going to continue winning against Sony because of their money? Sure they have a lots of money now, but what when they dont have the money to spend on DLCs and exclusives??? They will have to make the games for themselves like Sony and Nintendo are doing.

The money generated from Xbox Live alone probably covers the cost of DLC and exclusives. I would like to see more games from Microsoft and I imagine they have some in the works we don't even know about.

Sure Sony makes a lot of games but none of them are mega hits and they tend to sell less with each release. Their best selling games came out years ago or were bundled. Can Sony keep making big budget games if the sales dry up?

No it didn't happen but the fact is if ps3 launched same time as 360 then it would be winning especially if the price was as low as the 360 and all you 360 fanboys know it why can't ya'll accept it and get out of denial

"She said I'm F**kin Awesome!"

"Gurl don't be afraid, I just wanna cut, U can call me a squirrel, I'm just tryna get my nuts"

"Here's some daily science... The World revolves around the sun, not you!"

Of course they have money to spend on DLC and exclusives; however, that is not the deciding factor of why 3rd parties jump ship. Their sales performance is what got 3rd parties to go multiplat. Neither Microsoft or Sony truly make games for themselves...only Nintendo does that. They can call it first party....but you know it's only companies they purchased or have really good relationships with. There isn't anything Microsoft hasn't done that Sony hasn't either, so the hate is really unfounded. I can understand the RROD thing, but that died off last year.

Well if it isn't another Jeronimo thread against the ps3
It amazes me people don't get banned for continuously posting crap like this

Not really.Xbox live is enough to cover RROD losses but Microsoft need to take money out of their wallets for DLCs and exclusives.

Sony is also making a lot of money on PSN. And their best selling franchise Gran Turismo ( every game sold above 7 million) is not even launched yet

But Microsoft makes money with a lot of crap they put out. Their console is probably being sold at a profit. They sell a shit load of accessories like hard-drives, wifi adapaters, etc. Live I'm sure sells more games and DLC than PSN considering the 8 million console gap.

GT5 is guaranteed to be a hit but so is ODST. So when it comes to money I'm sure Microsoft is fine. They've already seen a profit this generation. The same can't be said for Sony.

last console for sony guaranteed - japanese governent bailout will save sony, but it won't save the games division.

you are much more funny than totò (antonio de curtis)

Actaully, PSN is about to surpass Xbox Live in account numbers since you can create 100 PSN accounts on 1 PS3, and you can create account on PSP as well. And Sony DID make profit this generation, they just didnt make profit in Q4 2008. PS3 software is profitable, PSP is profitable and PS2 is profitable abit. And i think MS will have money to buy DLCs and exclusives for at least 4 years, but after that...

If you count the PSP, PSN is already ahead of the 360 in accounts. It's not like its founded on much though, because PSN doesn't pull in anywhere near to the type of money live is.
