Indeed. Really only Zelda and XenoBlade were the big standouts... but there were a couple of smaller titles that definitely qualified as quality games. But at the end of the day, I wasn't surprised that I finished a year's worth of updates in only two-ish hours.

Although the retial list of games isn't too bad, the WiiWare support in 2011 (at least for quality titles) was pathetic. But that's why we have the eShop now.

Zelda and Rayman Origins are the only games from this past year that I bought.  That can't be good.  :p 

I guess that it's time to look forward to the Wii U.

Indeed. My Wii games in 2011 were Skyward Sword, Rayman Origins, Kirby's Return, Lego Harry Potter... was that it? I think that's it. ()

I just played Super Mario Galaxy 2 and 3DS stuff the rest of the year.

As for 2012: Xenoblade Chronicles... and... uh... yeah it's time for Wii U.

Oh yeah, I also got the Kirby game.  I forgot about that. 

How are you liking the Kirby game? I haven't played it for quite awhile... :/

I have no evidence to support this, but for once I think Nintendo's overseeing main division, not NoA are to blame for the US not getting NPC Pikmin 2.  I think they called an end to the NPC series, preventing localisations for the remaining games, such as Chibi Robo; maybe NPC MP 1 and 2 were put in a collection with MP3 to bypass this order.

Further speculation, but maybe NoA wanted NPC Pikmin 2 released closer to Pikmin 3's release (when it was still planned for Wii), and they just held off from initially localising it, then being bound by the possible cancellation of the NPC series.
