According to this site and as far as I translate Kotoba no Puzzle Mojipittan DS : about 20k Sonic : about 5k Theme Park DS : about 5k Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 1st Love : about 15k?

Thanks for translating. Is Japan in a slump or something? None of those numbers seem good.

I don't know Monorojo, but even during a slow sales period, 5k is a pretty terrible first day sales total.

For comparison, Yoshi's Island sold 3x what it did on the first day in week one...but even if you did that for Sonic..15k? Not even remotely good

Sonic is not as populair in Japan as it is in the US. See the differences: http://www.vgcharts.org/worldtotals.php?name=sonic&console=&publisher=&sort=Total I'm planning to buy Sonic, the Japanese version myself so that's about 5001 then Very strange, as Famitsu rated the game with great figures.
