@thekitchensink - No, it annoys me that Nintendo won't make a MadWorld or Gears or even publish such a title. However, Nintendo are still my favorite company and I will continue to support them. I may not not like how they handle certain matters but the good far outweighs the bad.

The Conduit is a lot more like Metroid Prime than MadWorld or Gears. Also, making a game bloody and brutal doesn't make it good. I like MadWorld and Gears, but it's not the rating that makes the games good... I almost wish ratings didn't exist so people would stop judging games and companies by them -_-

"WHAT?! THIS GAME ISN'T M-RATED?! THEN IT CAN'T BE GOOD ;_;"

I'm actually impressed. I hope this game does well and proves my expectations wrong.

I would love to eat crow on this one. XD

@Megaman79: I truly think that NOJ give Disaster:DOC to Monolith to see what they are capable of. I think after Disaster they decided that maybe they should just let them make an RPG, lol.

Maybe they should have worked more closely with the company at the time.  Eternal Darkness and many Rare games certainly had this kind of assistance.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Disaster was a fine game, stop whining.

@Majin, it could have been promoted and tweaked by Nintendo to make it a smash hit.

They dropped the ball on Monolith

Not every game has to be a smash hit. I'm happy with Disaster, and I don't need it to be a smash hit to enjoy playing it.
