Disgaea 1 is home to some of the most lovable characters known to the rpg genre. It had great music, great voice acters and had one of the best battle systems i have ever come across in an rpg. It had a huge amount of strategy and alot of awesome looking attacks. Overall i highly recommend this game for all rpg fans. This is one of the best rpgs of all time and no one should miss out on this masterpiece. Also here is some of the many awesome songs in Disgaea 1

Never played but i have heard a LOT of good things about it.
I still stand by my decision though...

Suikoden 2 is STILL the best RPG of all time

It's story is awesome.

The music is awesome...

The gameplay.... is good... not great.


In my opinion Phantom Brave has the best NIS gameplay as far as traditional SRPGs. Though it sadly has the weakest story. Well the story isn't actually bad. Just not what you expect from NIS.

Learning different techs from the different weapons really gave it a more wide open expierence.

What are you talking about? Disgaea 1's gameplay was amazing. I played Phantom Brave and by no means was the gameplay better then Disgaea 1. And i think you know why i'm saying this.

Because you thought it was too hard to deal with characters having summon times?

That's the only complaint i've heard of the game.  It makes you have to think strategically.

I don't agree with you but i respect your opinion. But man was that summoning time annoying as hell.

That's true, but Disgaea is still great, you should try it

I loved it, it's totally crazy and random, but it's too funny. A fantastic SRPG, the second best ever, after Final Fantasy Tactics in my opinion

On the other hand, why all these random "This game is the best/one of the best RPG's ever!" threads; couldn't you have something to say than a thread title and a few sparse sentences justifying your opinion?

There were no other words to discribe the greatness of Disgaea 1.

I can't believe I got

for PSP but I STILL don't have Disgaea.

Ah well. I have a pring break in 2 weeks and it will be 16 plus hours in the car so I will order it next week
