red faction was a really good game. Too bad I cannot say the same for the MP included in it.

StrategyKing, that just goes to show you how different people's opinions are. I was the opposite. I couldn't wait to finish the single player and get it over with but I really liked the multiplayer. I'm going to trade it in but I would like to keep it for online play but at the same time I already have quite a few online games that need my attention.

Just curious but why didn't you like the multiplayer?

I need a job... i really cant afford all these new games

And another thing... Fallout 3 has screwed me over!!!
I had all the achievements for the latest DLC, and it aint give me them!!!!!!!

*growls*

Same thing with Gears, they just keep adding DLC and I can't play it because I don't have Gold to start with

I also have the problem with Halo 3. I just played the SP quickly, got 415g, and now it is out of 1750g!!!!!

I hate to sound snide but...  get Gold?  At $50 for a year plus, the value is higher than the vast majority of retail games.

To buy Halo 3 without gold just seems like a waste to me.  The SP campaign is complete trash, it's a game designed around online MP.  The money you spent to play through that awful campaign could probably have bought you an entire year worth of gold.

I just rented it... and I have to get games on both Xbox and PS3, and I just don't have enough money for Gold as well as games as I much prefer offline anyway

@ jpl

seemed tacked on and generic, although I had only played 2 of the modes. I just kept thinking

"man, I wish this was the bionic commando MP"

Lord yes EaglesEye! I've been playing Magic since the early 90s but all my bros are long since moved away. I've always thought it would be perfect for X-box live. I'm a little miffed it doesn't seem to have a full on deck editor. Also I think they are missing an opportunity by not offering more cards as DLC. Who knows, maybe they will. But for 10 dollars even just having a few starter decks to play against other people online and a single player campaign sounds great!

Never played the video game versions but I agree it'd be great for Live. I might get it.

I collected Magic cards for a short period back in the mid 90s. I rarely played and damn near always lost because I wouldn't play my rarest cards. I have the entire Revised set in mint condition. Dual lands ftw

One of my brother's friends was really early on the MTG scene and had the Alpha, Beta and Arabian Nights sets. I'm unsure if he ever sold them. There's currently a PSA-9 mint Alpha Black Lotus selling on ebay for 10 grand. lol

About 20 hours in and Im still only in Disc 2 for Star Ocean. Epic!

Would have liked to join you guys on the Prototype race though.

After SO, I will decide between Tales of Vesperia and Prototype.

Dont' rush through it. It took me 23 hours to get through the first disc.

The 2nd and 3rd disc are both much shorter than the first.

Wow that's a lot of money for one card.  I remember Black Lotus always was the most valuable, even back then. I made the biggest mistake ever by selling all my cards a long time ago.  Of course then I still wanted to play so I bought about 5 starter decks and oddly enough the Plague deck that was one of them would kick any of my friends asses easy.  It was basically this: pestilence mixed with urza's armor.  Pestilence does 1 point of damage to every player and creature.  Urza's armor protects you from up to one point of damage.  So you just do 1 point of damage over and over and whipe everything out while you remain immune. Its cheesy I know but its also beautiful in its simplicity and ability to destroy even the most advanced strategies.

As for games they had the original game which had a single player campaign called "shandalar mode" which allowed you to roam a map, explore and then you would earn cards by opening treasures or beating opponents.  Really good stuff and never since duplicated.

Then, and I'm ignoring shitty console versions that weren't even card games, you had Magic Online which I played for a while.  My problem is I invested a lot of money in cards and now I don't play.  I was about ready to reinstall it on my laptop and fish up my account info but then the Xbox Live version was announced so I'll try it first.

Also, the Marvel Trading Card game is excellent.  Its my second favorite to Magic.  I really don't like 90 percent of card games but those two are great.  The online is pretty much dead on Marvel, but the single player experience on both the PSP and DS is really fun. On DS you don't have to pay for cards to use online but I can't find anyone playing.  On the PSP you did have to buy cards to take online and unfortunately I spent about 300 dollars building an X-men deck.  But you can trade at least.  Moot points because Konami stopped supporting it and decided to give everyone 99 copies of each card.  Gee, my money was well spent on that wasn't it?  I haven't played PSP version in a couple years so I don't know if anyone still plays online but it was seriously bugged to the point of dropping you out of 70 percent of your matches.

eNamrah, if you do end up getting it count me in for a few duels.  Actually I think there is some co-op two headed dragon stuff in it as well.

Too late, finished Disc 2 - yes it was relatively short.

Oh well, I will start grinding now. Know any good grinding spots ? I heard Palace of the Creation was good. My characters are around level 46 now.
