I predict PSWii60 multiplatform, will be just as 'gritty and real' as 4 was, the Wii may get a seperate version, which would be more like 3 was.

I Hope - a 2d top down game akin to GTA1, but with better graphics and a more developed story mode - released on Wiiware/PSN?XBLA and maybe the handhelds too

Although the setting will probably stay in america, it would be great if the setting was completely different. How about Rome? If anyone's been there theye'd understand it would be good. There are so many pickpockets and dodgy people around and policeman with huge guns guarding suspicious places. lol

I think it will be in Vice City, which is OK, and of the 3 environments in the GTA3 series it was my favorite. 360/PS3.

Maybe it's just because I live here, but I think Texas would be a good choice for a location. It would be sort of like San Andreas- going between Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.

I would also like it to go back to being less realistic. IV just wasn't as fun.

If people are expecting GTA 5 to perform to a lesser extent than GTA 4 then surely we couldn't expect GTA 5 to be similar to GTA 4 ? that's probably the main reason why the GTA series is declining in sales , lack of innovation just prettier and more in depth than before.

Maybe i'm just being optmistic , maybe Rockstar won't realise the errors of their ways any just make GTA4.5 . If they are going to re-use a location it better be Vice City !!

there won't be a gta5 this gen it for next gen this gen will have spinoffs like last gen

Well it'll be late 2010 or early 2011, PS3 and 360 simultaneous release.

All I want is a fun Grand Theft Auto, not a realistic one. As unrealistic as the PS2 installments were they were fun as hell! There isn't even that much you can do in GTA4 besides the lame minigames (I don't want to go bowling in a GTA).

Neptune : The realism requires too much resources and takes away from the fun of the game. Rockstar could probably make a realistic GTA without taking away the fun but they haven't done that with GTA 4 , they've dedicated so much resources towards a high level of realism than they've neglected what makes GTA fun.

BHR-3 is likely correct , the next GTA probably won't be GTA5 but GTA4:XXX . Rockstar spent around $100 million on this game and they'll want to spread the cost of the engine across 2 expansions probably.

The engine was the RAGE engine, first used in Table Tennis, so I think they have already recycled the engine before, and they have recovered all the costs anyway
