I don't think its sad at all, it saves me money. Bundles were aplenty for the PS2 as well, when I bought one a year after a release it was impossible to get it outside of bundles so I ended up having to buy a WRC bundle (only the crappiest rally game ever made). The MGS2 bundle relased two weeks later but I hand't heard the announcement since I had no internet...

Its just that system sellers by defnition are supposed to warrant a purchase of a new console. Thats $60 for the system seller and $400 for the PS3.

Thats why I find Sony bundling MGS4, LBP, GT5:P and now KZ2 very puzzling..........they should be able to sell PS3s without being bundled. At least make a bundle after a couple weeks so the system seelers can do their job.

bundles r not desperation. they help ppl buy consoles, not to get rid of games............if someone was thinkin of gettin a ps3 he may aswell get the killzone bundle, microsoft also do bundles............its to make the console a more attractive purchase

Thats true....but you make more money with a $60 urchase and a seperate console purchase, hence the definition of a system seller.

MS didnt bundle Gears, Gears 2 (heavily), and Halo 3 when they launched, and they sold massive amounts of 360s. MS made that much more money. To see sony bundling every system seller they got day 1 seems a little wierd cause they shoudl be able to sell PS3s without being bundled, thus making more money.

Maybe they want to inflate sales numbers as much as they can for bragging rights, I dont know.

one thing for sure is that it saves money for gamers.

What makes Sony think people in America wont be interested in Killzone 2 bundles.....If that bundles are launched in America,I am sure it'll boost the sales a lot.After all,Americans love FPS more than Europeans do .

You are missing point in bundling on Sony part.

Sony knows that price is huge factor in sales of machines and that they need to reduce it to appeal to average uninformed consumer.

Therefore bundling $60 game into $400 package is much better way for them then price dropping to $350 and selling $60 game to some of those people

It matters to Sony... You're right that it doesn't matter much to consumers though.
