LttP is my favorite. I remember seeing screens in NP before the SNES came out and was real excited. The LttP comic in NP was pretty awsome as well.

LA is by far the best portable version though. The ending, combined with the music made me wanna cry as a kid. Great game. Plus you could steal from the shop which was clever.

I did really enjoy TP though, more so than OOT

the run down:
LttP
TP
LA
OOT
WW
LoZ
MM
AoL

Never finished the oracle games and only tried PH in store. Still wanna pick that up.

that's about the same list for me too

I've tried finishing it 4 times, but it gets to dull every time (one thing is that 90% of the game lacks any challenge what-so-ever. The other 10% are awesome though).

I'll give it another shot (I have it on VC).

Since when have Zelda games ever been "challenging?"

I'm fine with the 3D games not having a huge challenge (but I find them harder than most of alttp), as you kind of explore and enjoy the game. It gets a bit dull in 2D.

All the other 2D Zeldas (well, except for maybe Phantom hourglass) have a real challenge, either in puzzles or enemies. Link to the past has almost none of that.

The other Zeldas also keep a steady difficulty, whereas some parts of Link to the Past are just completely challenge-less, whereas some are as difficult as in the original.

(And let it be noted: I'm completely horrible at 2D games.

I take back my original statement, I had totally forgotten about Link's Adventure.  That one was rough.

As for the rest, they're not challenging... at all.

Well, you're a pretty awesome gamer (at least what you've posted on VGC makes it seem like that), so your opinion on that is actually incredibly flawed.

I find almost all the 2D Zeldas difficult. Link to the past is actually the only one I don't (although it has its hard parts).

I think the 3D Zeldas have a good difficulty too though, as the difficulty makes them more adventure and explore than a fighting game. (I prefer the former to the latter).

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Tough one. I want to say Ocarina of Time but I'm going to go with Twilight Princess. IMO Twilight Princess perfected everything from Ocarina of Time.
-The story was a bit deeper, darker and emotional.
-The overworld was fantastic.
-Horseback fighting was a welcome addition.
-Midna was a much better partner than Navi.
-Link had better attacks and weapons.

There's more but I'm a bit pressed for time.

Ocarina of time and wind waker are the only two zelda games ive played, and out of those ocarina is the one for me, so there you go

I hope my 360 doesn't RRoD

OOT is my all time favorite, then it's LTTP. Both are incredible.

It's LttP hands down, one of the longest in the series, has some difficulty (even after about my 20th time through that game surprised me and got me once or twice which is saying a lot) and set the basis for most Zelda games since. (heart pieces, dark world, epic storyline, many of the items, etc.)

Agreed. Why? I think MaxwellGT2000 covered it pretty well.

My favs are ALTTP, OOT and WW. But I go back and replay the most WW then OOT, I haven't played ALTTP in ages.

Right now I'm playing OOT Master Quest.

I never finished any of the GameBoy games even though I have them all, I didn't finish MM or TP either.  I'm planning to get Phantom Hourglass soon because I like WW a lot.

Ocarina of Time.

They are all very good games, but I think that I'd go for LttP if I have to choose one. The Zelda that I've played through the most number of times is AoL, which also was the first game I got for my NES.
