I think a lot of people are underestimating how much DLC content people buy. There's a reason MS sunk all that money into xblm and xbla.

OT: i dont find it all that surprising, if it includes subscriptions to xbox live. but if that billion is stand alone cash earned from live users buying stuff then that is something to applaude.

If they have 17 million members, then it's about $60 apiece. That doesn't seem like a crazy number. I know I am WAY over that this year alone, and I've been on Live for over 5 years.

Pretty sure they meant 1 billion spent on MS points.

Isn't that an old figure though? I remember hearing it in threads months ago... the same questions about membership fees being raised then. Then again, my memory isn't the best and I might just have imagined the whole thing.
