I just watched game of the year video and they nailed it.their comments are exactly how i feel about the game.
every thing about that game was pure gold.
this game has every thing from emotion to intense action to stealth to jaw dropping graphics.it delivers on all fronts.
They gave best graphics to gears 2, and best action adventure to GTA IV
I would vote for NHL 09. It has to be one of the best sports games I've played in a long time.
I haven't even gotten around to beating MGS4. I'm much more into FPS with no story, just great gameplay.
Deserving game, no doubt. I'd have given it to Fallout 3, but it's really semantics.

I thought it would either be MGS4 or The World Ends With You. MGS4 deserved it though.
finally MGS4 getting the credit it deserves. instead of spike tv giving GOTY to who???, rockstar's GTA4 which is arguability the worst in the series and in my opinion the worst game of 2008.
its the worst in my opinion because how disapointing it was. no tanks, no planes, all taken out to make the game realistic. all the things that made GTA hott, rockstar threw it in the garbage. if GTA5 doesn't have tanks and planes, i don't care if it gets 10/10 from every reveiw site, i will not buy it
