I have never played the series before but considering purchasing AC:CF to give it a try.  Am I going to enjoy this outing or not, anyone on here played it for the first time?  Thoughts?  Looking for some guidance here.

It's identical in gameplay (from what I've seen) to the N64, GC and DS versions so if you can get a few hours with any of those you will know. It can be as deep as you want it to be, and every activity is optional, so don't be put off by one aspect of it.

I was wondering about this series, too. My friend has been recommending me to buy this game but I am skeptical since he seems to like everything.
I'd buy the game anyway regardless if I like it or not solely for Wii Speak.

Is is a simulation game like Sims 2?
I vaguely remember a commercial years ago about it being real-time or something?

I did however purchase Animal Crossing on the Gamecube and certainly didn't like it. I was soooo scared cause that game looks like it will suck a lot of time out of my life and out of me not being able to play my other consoles. So I basically took it back to Gamestop.

Now I'm considering the Wii version. It looks nice and awesome to play so should I take a stab at it again considering I'm not that much into simulation games, will this get me into simulation games?

I would like to know also. I have not played them before either, and it looks fun : )

I have the game, this is pretty much my first Animal crossing.

Yes it is very enjoyable, There is always something happening everyday in it!
I was skeptical too, but I enjoy calm and peaceful games like this, so if this iis your thing pick it up.

But I must give you an advice: Don't and I mean DON'T play this game alone everyday, If you started to play it, play another game with it, because if you only play this game for a month you will get sick of it, this is a game that you can play at any time, you don't have to play it religoiusly every-single-day without plaing something else.
