Go ahead. Show me one thread in the past month in which a 360 fanboy predicted the 360 would win the generation? eat the PS3? Sure, almost entirely in threads started by PS3 fanboys. But unlike the Sony crowd, not a one that I can recall that has claimed the 360 will surpass the Wii.

Show me one that says the ps3 will win.

Your comparison is flawed. You are saying that PS3 fanboys are an angry and desperate bunch. 360 fanboys are confident. Nintendo fanboys are smug. Now don't two of those statements sound insulting and one of them not. Am I right or am I wrong?

The 360 fans have had to come to terms with the RROD debacle and the Wii destroying the 360s year head start, which required eating the world's largest humble pie. In comparison it has been very easy for Sony fanboys to go down the What IF? road of denial. What if the PS3 had launched earlier? What if the PS3 had launched cheaper? What if the PS3 lineup had been better at launch? What if GTA, FF, DMC had stayed exclusive? What if next year that one game that defines a generation arrives on the PS3? What If is a damn addictive concept, it's quite powerful at helping people remain arrogant far after power has slipped through their fingers.

Not to mention a good portion of the expanded 360 installed base comes from the PS2 fanbase.

and 90% of the PS2 userbase was casual gamers,id say more PS2 users switched to Wii,unless we see 120 million 360s :p

Actually no. The Wii cornered off the non-gamers and women (Something the PS2 couldnt do) nintendo fans and more. It will outsell the PS2's lifetime sales by leaps. 40 million consoles sold in 2 years is crazy. Alot of core fans stuck with the 360 for the same reasons they bought the PS2. It was affordable and had a great library.

Firstly, it doesn't go for EVERYONE, just majority, obviously. Secondly, have you been reading these other posts? People are saying the same thing I am, except in wall o'texts and not as simple. Obviously Wii fanboys are confident, too, and obviously 360 fanboys can be smug as well. It's just the big picture. Are you not grasping what I said? o_o

Edit: Oh, wait, you're confused about the "average." No no, I meant average amount of fanboys. Notice I said "most, average, middle, hidden" first? My fault for that confusion.
