the difference between the GT 4 and GT 5 prologue in those pics is negligible.

This. While overall, your comparisons are great and show a lot of improvement, you should use a different R&C game, because Size Matters on the PS2 was pretty terrible from what I've heard. Plus, it wasn't made by Insomniac (creators of R&C), or by High Impact (makers of PSP R&C games). Other than that, though, it's a great list and it's amazing to see at how much graphics have improved.

I found some better ones of GT5p.  I'm pretty sure you can see the difference now.  Car models went from 4k polys to 200k.

Wow, I just looked at those first two pics, and when I saw the third one it felt like my eyes were being raped.

Are you sure that's not a bad pic of GT4? I don't remember it looking so bad.

Bad pics but i definatly know where ur coming from



I mostly play RTS and Moba style games now adays as well as ALOT of benchmarking. I do play other games however such as the witcher 3 and Crysis 3, and recently Ashes of the Singularity. I love gaming on the cutting edge and refuse to accept any compromises. Proud member of the Glorious PC Gaming Master Race. Long Live SHIO!!!!

I know which way I voted. PS3 was my first Sony system, and I have way more PS2 games than PS3 games. PS2 is just a great system. Not too many PS3 games have made me feel that way. Sure, I like to play the latest and greatest for 10 min to show my friends the power of the cell, but then the game goes back on the shelf.

Technology progresses so fast.....I cant imagine Xbox 3/PS4 visuals!



PREDICTIONS:
360 will outsell PS3 YTD for 2008. (CHECK!)
360 will have the best showing at E3 & TGS in 2009
2009 will be another year for the 360 over PS3
End OF 2009 SALES :: 360 - 40M;  PS3 - 30M; Wii - 70M

They sure look nicer, but it don't mind ps2 graphics, maybe the ones that don't support Widescreen. Those black bars are annoying as hell.
