Screenshots give me CoD4 de ja vu. I like them though. But, as I've said before, any Killzone game I will NEVER hype before it comes out(Killzone 1 was a massive let down for me.)
GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Do Wii or 360 owners do this about all their games? Where are the "best game ever" Halo Wars, or Animal Crossing threads? Why are you doing this to yourself? Do you figure that if you just hype every game, eventually you will be right? Then what? Who will be owned then? Nobody. Because the game didn't succeed, it will have simply met expectations. Just say, "Hope it's good" and move on. Trust me, you guys get over-excited at the drop of a hat. You can't tell how a game will be received, no matter how much you play it. Especially if it's a FPS online mode. There are games out there with really, really great, KZ2 quality online modes, already. Every shooter in the past few months has had a killer online mode. Standards have been set. Just saying the online is fun, and the best shooter ever(whatever) doesn't even guarantee the game an 8/10 against today's other shooters. It's all about the campaign and the content. Even if the game scores well, it's sales might flop. That's even worse. Sales are what make a game important. There is no worse feeling than to have a good game and it not sell a lick. Just hold off on your excitement and hype for 2 more months, and go play Resistance 2. |
MS and Ninty Fans dont give a crap about Console sales or Reviews,they just enjoy games,now PS Fanfiends and Fans come here making threads about how there game is better and can only be done on PS3,and blue ray and this that and then MS and Nitty fans come and DEFEND there console from these fanfeind attack.

OT:this game is more of a competition for call of duty than halo or gears.
it looks fantastic.and to think that these shots are from multiplayer beta portion of the game.

no man,It has nothing to do with halo. this game competes with call of duty .
I dont hype games I have not played (besides GT5) but I have played Killzone MP and that too for well over a month now. My attention span is that of a goldfish yet I keep coming back for Killzone 2, something Halo 3, GeOW 2 after a week, COD 4 etc were not about to do.
The MP side is quality, trumps every other shooter I have played and all that is left is SP which I am sure will not disappointment but then again I could honestly not care less with this one, I will buy the game just for MP. THAT is how good the game is, this is coming from someone who before never gave a damn about MP.

All I'm saying is that there are already people saying KZ2 will be the best shooter ever, and that it'll sell great and all this stuff, even on this thread. Read the topic title.
It's fine to be excited, but being over-excited will get you in trouble, because when you're over-excited, you tend to over hype games that couldn't possibly deliver on your high expectations.
You can do that all you want, but it does get quite repetitive when good games become dissapointments simply because you've had two or three guys screaming, "Best game ever" in your ears about them for the last several months.
I know you want to hype the game. It makes you feel good about the prospects of the game, your gaming future, and your console, and I know that it pisses you off when I tell you not to do that.
However, when you hype this, you aren't doing the game, the PS3, or yourself any favors.
Say, "meh, it'll be good" and then when it gets a 10/10 haters will crap their pants. You've overhyped every PS3 exclusive so far in either sales, importance, or quality, but after the lessons from the last few months, I just think it is time for an intervention.
Also, bro, stop muddying up my name with personal insults. Stick with the topic at hand. I don't embarrass myself, and I never shall. Letting an angry PS3 fan change my posting style would be the only thing I can think of that actually would embarrass me. If that happened, it would ruin my integrity, and I can't accept that, so I'm standing by my guns on this one, because I'm right.

lol, I actually made a post that I didn't really think much about, played Fallout 3 for a couple of hours and came back to a "Zenfoldor must die" campaign rally.
Apparently I have embrarassed myself and disgraced my name, because I wish people wouldn't overhype exclusives so much. :P
