Forums - Sony Discussion - Fuzzmosis gets Bitter at: Resistance 2: Resist Harder!

More than one person cannot log in to one console at the same time. That's just the way things work. And since Player 2 isn't associated with a logged-in PSN ID, it does not earn experience.

Hell, it even has the hold button to make gun shoot better mechanic for the Bullseye! Seriously, what the fuck?

Didn't they already have this in the first Resistance?

Nah, it was just a click with R3 if I remember correctly.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

U can't please everybody. If they had made the single player campaign Co-Op, then it would not have been possible to have so many things going on at one time with a solid frame rate. To fix this, they would have to lower the textures/graphics and then more people wouldve complained because they already say that R2's graphics sucks. U can't please everybody and to me, everything they did was good (besides the not logging in for Player 2 multiplayer).

I thought the single-player campaign for Resistance 2 was a disappointment. There were moments of true greatness but there was a lot of mediocrity as well. The first game is better, even if it doesn't peak as high as the sequel does. And the graphics were very... schizophrenic. Sometimes there are some really stunning moments on screen. And other times, you get a face full of ugly, lo-res textures and cheap level design.

Insomniac put all of their time into the multi-player stuff for this game. For all of the complaints I have about the single-player campaign, the online stuff is really great. Lag free, 60fps 60-player online matches and a very addictive co-op mode make this game worth a purchase.

CoD4's control scheme was copied off the original Killzone's.

Every developer 'copies' or borrows from successful franchises, and why not? They are in it to make money, not to please you.

Anyway, you can change the control scheme to whatever you like in settings.

The stats do save. You are the first person I have heard complaining.

What's wrong with the introduction screen? It is simple and easy to navigate. What, you want to have to go through 10 menus to get to the single player campagin or online?

Wow get real. They used some button settings of the best shooter around? How TERRIBLE. IMO some standardization for controls is the best thing that can happen. Loosing your stats is kind of stupid (Although I hate RPG elements in FPS anyway) but the rest of your rant misses some serious problems.

I thought the point of a PS3 was to make stuff like this possible.

Still though, I'm glad to hear that the multiplayer was the main part of the game. I gotta buy this game sometime.

Here are the reasons for why R2 is like it is.

1) Insomniac never planned for a single player campaign to have co-op. As such it was designed around 1 player not for 1/2 players... hopefully they will fix this for R3.

2) Only one person can sign into PSN at once because thats how SONY designed PSN... Insomniac can't change this.

In the end Resistance 3 in 2010 should be great, and hopefully by then engine improvements made while they make the next R&C game will let Insomniac add these extra features to the game...

Snaa(insert 14 more a's)ake: The screen is ugly. Not Hard to Navigate. Ugly. Maybe it was the HD TV I was playing on, but it was ugly. I did not mention multiple screens. Shall I say it again? It was ugly! Hold on, I'm not sure you get my complaint yet judging by your comment: IT LOOKED AWFUL. I do not apologize for any sarcasm in this comment.

If 2 logins are impossible, why can't I share experience? Perhaps, I am being too much an asshole and had online been successful, I could have used his stats, but Offline I certainly could not. Don't punish people who like playing together in the same room. Particularily if you add an OFFLINE play mode.

Kyros: Don't really care about standardizing controls, but make them your own. They also stripped away many other things from Resistance , and I prefer Arcade shooters, and they certainly didn't make the changes in an arcade way. They just took what they could from CoD and pasted it in.

cod4 and R2 are two complete different games, one is meant for ultra realism, the other is a arcady shooter.I felt the Controls were more updated than ripped off(pretty much cod's control scheme will be the new standard). they both are just played so differently.

Now, I don't know about ultra-realistic, but some of the aspects to Resistance are very life lik- wait... you mean CoD4? That game is about as arcadey as they get.

I totally 100% agree with the COD4 comment. The original's style was waaay better in the context of the game. Why limit it to 2 weapons only? Why give you a quarter as much health as in the original drastically slowing down the action? Bad moves.
