Ok, I have found some new $500 BC PS3s, but now I am unsure if I should buy it or not. I have some time to decide as I don't get my money for a couple of weeks. I got a 360 pretty recently, and there are about 15 PSP, 3 Wii, and 10 Xbox 360 games that I still want to buy and play... BUT I won't be able to get a BC PS3 later and PS2 looks like crap if not upscaled for my HDTV. Should I take the plunge?

Stuff I currently own but havn't played/finished (and have an interest in finishing)

-Castle Crashers

-Banjo Kazooie XBL (pre-ordered)

-Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts

-Tales of Vesperia

-Elder Scrolls: Oblvion

- Zelda: Twilight Princess (don't anticpated beating, but its a good game)

- Final Fantasty Tactics: The War of the Lions

- Jeanne D'arc

- Ape Escape: On the Loose

What I would buy for PS3 if I got it and had money left over to buy anyhting other than LBP and Dark Knight BD:

- Little Big Planet

- Valkryia Chronicles

- Disgaea 3

- Uncharted: Darkes Fortune

- Heavenly Sword

- Rachet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction

-Simpsons BD

- Dark Knight BD

- Futurama Seaon 1 BD if there is such a thing

-about 35 PS2 games, inlcuding Rachet and Clank, Jak aqnd Daxter, Disgaea, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, MGS just becuse the $500 PS3 comes with MGS4 so might as well play the series, lots of other random games.

So is it worth buying? I was thinking of waiting and just not getting PS2 games, but since the Yen has fallen 10% in the last 2 days, I don't anticipated a price cut for PS3 until fall 2009.

I reccomed you buy a PS2 they are really cheap now and buy a PS3 the next gen

umm... I have a 7 inch SDTV and a 30-40 something inch SDTV that is really old and fuzzy and has very very poor contrast. I have an 11 month old 720P/1080i HDTV that is either 32 or 36 inches.

well it seems BC is important to you and you want to play alot of PS3 games as well,,,,so BC PS3 seems to be the best choice for you

My advice is - Get a ps3 without BC. I thought I'd like having BC but I hardly use it. I bought like 15 games at gamestop dirt cheap one day.... I've only beat 2 of them and havent picked up any other ones.

Hmm... you may be right. Now that I think about it, I probably won't play devil may cry, jak and daxter, or ape escape, or even final fantasy. I will play KH, but I probably won't beat it. However, I know that I will play and beat La Pucelle Tactics and Dsigaea 2. I can get Disgaea 1 for PSP, Disgaea 3 for PS3... WHat about 2??? :( Can I play 1 and 3 and will the story make any sense? When I think about it, thats really why I want a BC PS3... but is it worth $100?

also, are any multiplat games ever better on ps3, or does 360>PS3 all the time? Becuase if Eternal Sonata or Burnout revenge is better on PS3 (both games I plan to get) that adds value. Do you know which system they are better on?

 Disgea doesn't have a strong story in their games, but it has strong gameplay. And I don't believe the story goes into each game. I believe they are seperate per game... Now I don't know much about the game haven't played any of them but I was looking into 3 for my Ps3 and that was one of my concerns too. From what I read that was my understanding though.

Multiplats - There are some games better on the PS3 right now. And it seems like you are talking about future multi's and I am assuming you already have all the multi's you want on the 360 already. So my advice there is to cross that bridge when it comes.
