I've been looking to import a DSi. Does anyone know any good sites toimport one. Play-Asia has them but they are $300. Are there other places where I can get them cheaper? Or will I have to find them on Ebay to get them any cheaper than that?

Are DSIs region free like the DS and DSL? I'm not talking about the downloads but the actual carts. If so then I might consider importing as well.

I think, but I may be wrong, that DSi is region locked.

The only thing that are region locked are the downloads and maybe the DSi only games.

My brother tried to import I think, I forgot exactly what stopped him but it was something about being region locked.

As for region lock, from what I know only DSi-specific software will have it.

And yeah, only DSi-only and DSiWare games are region locked.

I wouldn't go importing a DSi - unless you know Japanese, and like Japanese only software. You'll get all the funky built-in software in Japanese, and ONLY get access to the Japanese online software store.

There isn't any real benefit to getting a DSi just to play DS software.

The menu on Japanese DS and DSL could be changed to English. And the online software isn't going to be big enough to require a lot of reading anyway.
