Just two days left ...

It's so close! Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch the election night coverage as I will be studying for my final on Thursday...

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I am going early to bed and wake up early so I can follow it all.

I'll be in the thick of it in the Chron newsroom. At least we'll have free food Election Night.

Somebody tried to muscle in on my thread!

I just voted for Obama in Oakland, California. We're totally going Obama, but I also just voted for America's first high speed bullet train, that could connect San Diego, Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco, and Sacramento for cleaner, safer, faster, cheaper travel across the state. It could cost me $25 to go back to L.A. instead of $45 on a Greyhound bus (or about $25 with a CraigsList rideshare) and it'll be faster, safer, and cleaner. BOOYAH. I also voted to protect gay marriage. BOOYAH.

lol, sorry akuma :D  I didn't see your thread

I did my duty and voted for Obama this morning in VA.  Like I said in other post, this is first time in my district in VA that I've gone voting and seen other people my age and minorities instead of the same old crowd of grumpy, republican looking pasty old white people.

Woot, lets turn Virginia Blue!

OBAMA FTW!!!

Every poll tracker site has a prediction that shows Obama should have a safe victory here.

Man I can't wait for tonight.

I just got back from voting.

Not going to say who for (politics & internet don't mix for me) but I voted Libertarian in all local races.
