Oh please.

1) The difference in units sold between the PS3 and 360 is virtually the same as it was last November.

2) Of the six active consoles(hand helds included), the 360 is in 5th place, only outselling the PS3. It hasn't even managed to outsell the PSP.

3) The 360's sales(along with those of the PS3 until the price drop was announced) have actually declined month after month since the beginning of the year while sales of the DS, PSP, and Wii have risen with PS2 sales remaining virtually the same.

4) The only place it sells decently is North America. It does mediocre in Europe and flops in Japan. In the latter territory, it still can't outsell the PS3(which is selling <40K a month) despite games like Blue Dragon and Trusty Bell.

People cut their losses and went with the 360 as a second choice? What planet are you living on? It looks more like people have decided to go with the DS, PSP, Wii or stick with the PS2 until the PS3 comes down in price or gets more games.

As a PS3 owner may I just say, that I do not want  to have Gears of War or any spin off series from the game on my console. But it is nice to see Epic and Sony getting on well. UT with pc mods on my ps3. Oh yes.

Jeez, I don't know where to start. This is sem-on topic. Gballzack and Shams, TPS games and FPS games are not the same. Gear of War is not an FPS. Whether you are tired of the FPS and TPS genres or not. Wrong is wrong. If similar inaccurate claim was made regarding a Wii title, I don't think you'd be so cavalier about it Gballzack.

Windbane aligning launches for sales means nothing. Thats the same kind of nonsense that was touting for N64's U.S. sales. The PS3 isn't gaining any ground and it needs to period. Third party developers can't make money of projected sales based on aligned launches. So the whole point is moot.

You guys are all acting like a bunch of bickering children. ;>

We can only hope so.  I don't go in the Wii section of the forums because it doesn't interest me and frankly I could care less on what is being said there.

 It comes to a old saying, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.   If all you want to do is to rip on Sony due to some hatred or fanboyism, keep it out please. I know that vgchartz would like to keep increasing it's userbase and be the site people come to first when it comes to video games and sales data, but the rampant childish behavior makes it a place that I don't enjoy being around when people like you or Gballzack start to flame and troll away.

 Ok, back on topic.  This is good for Sony, they appear to have a good relationship with Epic and it's good to see that they will continue to get good to great games made for the PS3.  In the end, it's win win for all gamers.

 Not to beat the (yes the) dead horse, but the console with FF13 and it WILL be PS3 exclusive.
