the cell? do you have a computer working with the cell? have you tested it?

I would put them in this order (with the most pwerful 1st):
1. ???????''
2. front side bus 1333mhz
3. just asking.
4. 3ghz clock
5. all the others of equal power.
Anyway why is this under the Sony discussion?

are you sure. coz i think that the cell has 7 cores, and quad only 4. i thik im a bit lost here xd |
Wow... you guys are very uninformed... there is no way the Cell is better than any Corel Duo. The Cell doesn't have 7 cores. Is a single core with 7 SPE's...
Who cares? This is a gaming forum, not a tech forum :P Which one will get better exclusives, thats the question IMO :P

That would be the Intel Chip. It currently has 10's of thousand's of exclusives (if you include the last 30 years).
It will have exclusives far after then PS3 is no longer sold as well.

This shouldn't be in Sony Discussion.
Regarding the original question: The Cell is used in a variety of different devices. Other than saying, "it totally depends on what you want to use it for", I would say smallflyingtaco has the right idea. Go get yourself an IBM Cell-based Blade and find out for us. They use the most powerful Cell variant on the market at the moment. In terms of pure gigaFLOPS, the IBM Blade will win benchmarks that are designed to take advantage of the pseudo-cores.
Assuming that:
The PC will give you prettier graphics.
So I'll say both.
