My favourite: "360 games are exclusive even when released on pc...."
PSN name: Gazz1979 (feel free to add me, but please put your Vgchartz name in the message!)
Battlefield 2: Gazz1979

This thread sucks as much as you do. Since people who suck cannot call threads sucky then I guess the thread wins. |
Your logic is flawless, as is your victory. I'm half expecting the "TOASTY!" guy from Mortal Combat to pop in!
This one is simple Fable 2 is a sequel, which means it has a built in audience for pre order, were LPB is a new IP. If LPB is as good as it sounds it will sell very well, as someone mentioned pre orders doent tell the whole story look a too human
PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.
Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game
Xbox live:mywiferocks
If you though LBP was going to be big you need to stop listening to PS3 fanboy hype. There is no way fable 2 won't be huge. Fable was one of the best games on x box.
Love is whats most important.
Why is this in the Microsoft section? This should probably be in the Sales section, especially since you have game from both Microsoft and Sony.
I don't know. However, you make it sound like this was the case everywhere. Still, I don't know.
LBP is a PSN title too?
Hmmm... anyone else see "well, there are a lot of sales on PSN that aren't tracked... It did " coming?
Kantor said: Fable II has a lot more anticipation than LBP. LBP will also be a PSN download, saving you the 20 bucks for a blu-ray disc. I guess a lot of PS3 owners are afraid of seeming 'casual' by buying LBP. They'll get it when it comes out and they see the awesome scores. |
Where did you get that idea?? LBP will be a BR only sale as it uses the full capacity (40gb) of a BR disk:
Q: And it weighs in at about 40GB?
Alex Evans: Erm, yes - I believe a Blu-ray single layer is 20GB and a dual layer is 40GB, but we're filling up the Blu-ray.

LBP is truly a wild card as its success depends entirely on how much the community embrace its user created content capacity. Despite being friendly to casual, it has the potential to reach an extremely hardcore audience similar to popular pc game amd their mod community.
Fable is a far less riskier bet due to its previous fanbase and more convention gameplay, it is almost gauranteed to beat LBP on launch simply because the nature of LBP requires momentum...
I really hope LBP is a success story, the industry needs innovation, not just endless sequals being regurgitated by big name publishers no matter how good they might be.
RPGs are, by nature, heavy on the pre-orders, and sell a larger proportion of their total units on the front-end. LBP is a legs title, if there ever was one. It will sell for eons.
Don't kid yourself, If LBP is pretty decent, it will outsell Fable 2 by a mile, even if Fable 2 is phenominal (which I think it will be), just due to market appeal. RPG gamers are a smaller crowd than most hardcore gamers like to imagine.
