@ darth, do you not get a proper football game? Everyone gets FM, but dont you get bored of it? I got bored of it ages ago so normally get FIFA manager which is a much more shallow but flashy version, and I get to make a lovely huge stadium with it!

Equally popular? I'm just basing it off actual sales numbers for Fifa 08 and Pro Evolution 08 in PAL (and I'm going to assume that the majority of PAL sales for football games come from Europe). Also, Pro Evolution is "way more popular," at least in Europe. Fifa 08 not only sold less in total, but a good bit of the sales were from the Americas whereas Pro Evo sold next to nothing there, meaning that the European difference must have been even larger. And if you look at the history of Pro Evo vs. Fifa (just look at some old sales numbers), Pro Evo games generally sell more. What's the highest selling football/soccer game of all time? Not Fifa, last time I checked.

@ montana, in EU, pes sold 1.38m last year on PS3, FIFA sold 1.24m, so it is still quite close

I haven't played a soccer game in a while, actually..but when I do, it's always Fifa. I played soccer for 8 years, and I almost bought the game last year. I very well may end up buying it this year.

That's true, but the gap will only widen as sales increase year over year.

yea, I checked the "others" sales aswell before I made my statement and it is "some hundred k more across all versions", as I said in my text

And that doesn't take into consideration, that the PC version of FIFA is WAY more popular than PES-one. PES on PC looked worse than the PS2-game last year and played shit (if it played at all). 


That being said I would always prefer PES to FIFA, if I ever bought a football game again, for the PES demo felt way better and I actually still have it on my PS3, while I nearly instantly deleted the FIFA demos (last years and this years).
