That is Tuesday, 9/16. Paul Thurrott's site and the Zune insider are ablaze with info.

That said it is still blocky but thinner and comes in 8GB Blue flash, 16GB black flash, and 120GB black HDD units:

The blue one looks pretty spiffy. I definitely prefer it with the side buttons above the center button than to their side.

OT: Well we all know the zune will never compete against the Ipod but I also wish them the best of luck!! And yes why isn't it still not released in the rest of the world?? Or are they admitting they don't have a chance against the Ipod.. you have to wonder.. the Americans get their 3rd version and us Europeans (and Asia) have nothing... Anyway I'm gonna listen to some music on my Ipod..
