And just to expand on the above (don't feel like editing because I don't feel like waiting for the page to load-- stupid slow internet):

I have seen people claiming to be Gamestop managers or people claiming that Gamestop managers have talked to them and they are either flat out lying or someone is lying to them.

I happen to know a good deal about a good deal of things and love reading Gamestop manager stories and just about all of them having to do with those have some sort of BS to them if they aren't totally false. Whether it be they got a private screening, their x company sales rep (that one is always good), or they're privy to special information it's just about always BS.

Knowing that I can only assume that they are filled with just as much crap. Again, I'm not saying R2 doesn't look good, I'm just saying don't get excited or worked up over anything a Gamestop manager says.

but, at the end, R1 was clearly inferior to GoW1 in term of review (and sales)

But now, people are comparing the 2 sequels and saying they are similar despite Resistance being an "inferior" IP compared to GoW

Good to hear that the graphics are improving. Inevitably this game will be compared to GeoW2 because the release dates are close and they are a similar style. R2 has a lot going for it but early indications were that the graphics were not cutting edge. If they can improve on that, then R2 will help make a more compelling argument for people like myself to get the PS3.

Wow..... PS3 gets 4 new shooters lined-up... and yet people are calling it the shooter console.... Socom comes next month, and then Resistance the month after... "WOW!!! SONY's just making shooters to top HALO!!" How many games are coming between Socom and Resistance???? How far away is Killzone 2 and how many games are coming between KZ2 and R2??? And I won't even mention MAG and how many games will come between it and KZ2.....

SONY's covering many genre's, just has a lack in the RPG department, which was never a prob for the PS2. And now that 360 get's a few RPG's, and some earlier than the ps3 all of a sudden the ps3 is the shooter BOX??? And 360 is the RPG box??? Bull crap.... they are both console with muliple genre's being covered. SONY's not doing welll in the US... what better way to do it than with shooters and action games??? MS isn't doing well in japan... what better way to do it than with RPG's????
