Dragon Quest Swords I expect is going to be short, shallow, and repetitive from what I've gleaned from the previews. If they don't let reviews get out before release it's definitely because they want to snatch up the enormous amount of first-week buyers that'll grab anything with the DQ name on it first.

You probably hit the nail on the head there.

Plus Famitsu are in SE's pocket, so there is an amazing coicidence that reviews for any SE games that get less than stellar reviews always seem to magically appear in the issue after the game has been released.

Didn't Famitsu give Children of Mana DS 39/40 or something?

I guess R&C sales are good - will see how the game holds up. The series sold quite strongly on the PS2 in Japan (VG has one of the titles selling about 600k in Japan alone).

Nintendo platforms seem to lack these "pure" action titles (one genre I wouldn't mind Nintendo copying & releasing - like a Jet Set Gemini..).

And what's with all this DQ:S bashing? We have barely seen anything of the title - lets wait until we have some reviews/more solid previews before taking the game out to pasture...

wow 160k for zelda. just 340k more to pssmy expectations for this game

Zelda PH is sold almost same pace as Ocarina Of Time in two weeks.

So, shipments will be enough, it may go near a million.

If you need something about Japanese market from the perspective of Japanese, please contact me.

I am hoping that those who picked up PH might somehow become interested in TP

Gah...I hate and love Digg. Love the extra visitors, hate the server crashing...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I feel kind of bad for the Twilight Princess dev team. They spend like 3 years and hundreds of thousands of man hours, trying to make a flawless game, trying to make the greatest system launch game ever... and they get beat by the Gameboy Dev team. -.-

Don't cry too hard, the DS titles are beating everyone.

DQ:S got plenty of websites writing about it. There was one, exactly one, negative POV on the game from that guy over at 1up who literally finds a way to hate anything Wii related. He stated from the parts of the playable game he tested (the very beginning of the game which was all that was playable) the game felt to easy.

Since then you have had people running wild with that one preview and ignoring the other sites positive outlooks that outnumbers that one preview 12 to 1. There was a big issue on the boards about him deeming the entire game to easy based on the first stages that were mainly designed to give you an intro to the game and how to play it. The guy didn't even bother saying the game could be nice so long as the difficulty scales up during the game (what game DOESN'T do this?) He just immediately deemed the game to easy and wrote it off. Its been the single complaint about the game from all of the people who play tested it, and because of that its been stretched and played far beyond what he said.

Ill reserve my judgment for the reviews.

Hey - I now KNOW why the site is so slow, and we are getting so many people here via Digg. The wrong story points to this thread...
