Did you guys know that Obliterator doesn't know what "damage-control" is? ROFL!

Sorry to disappoint you, but I use real terms instead of internet terms... Last I checked internet terms dont help you get into college.

Judging by your sig, "you think too much of yourself "...

Torillian, you do know a lot of the stuff the Ps360 can do is mainly done with the Ipods right? You know, downloading movies, music, video.

The Wii is also able to play online with friends, will have voice chat, and will have dlc, as shown with Samba de Amigo. The only thing you listed that can't be done on other things is Achievements.

What about Wii? Can you download movies, music and etc? So it will have dlc and voice chat. Barely? By the end of the gen, the Wii online will be as good as the PSN when it first started.

The Point was: Why would you want to download movies, music, etc when the Ipod everyone already owns can?

These features don't benefit Video Games, they're completely extraneous and non-essential.

I don't own an ipod. I rather watch movies and etc. on a big screen instead of a little screen. Those thing are a nice feature to have. It has everything I want on one machine: great games, movies, music, etc. If you Wii boys had these features, you will like them too.

Why would you want to download movies, music and etc. if you bought a console to play games?

What about game demos?Agree, but not a big deal to me.

Game videos?Wii's got 'em

What about some decent storage space to hold the games you can download?SD cards hold plenty, would be nice to have a way to play right off of them though.

What about game add-ons? GHWT and RB2 both have DLC streaming from the SD cards.

Patches for games that are broken in some way?CConsole games should not be broken but SSBB, Zelda, and a few others have had patches in the updates.

The Wii in at a disadvantage in a lot of ways. I agree, so would most people.  It hasn't affected sales.

Custom Sound Tracks More games should, but Wii is capable.

See, I can dislike parts about my Wii (as you can see in other posts) but not be a hater.

Not everything in life is Good/Bad, Righteous/Evil, Love/Hate, it's okay to use rational thought and be honest with yourself.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

So the crux of every argument saying the Wii doesn't have as good of features as the 360 and PS3 basically boils down to the Wii not being as good a PC as the 360 and PS3 is? Lol.

Notice how this entire topic has been nothing but a widdling down of points against the Wii down to smaller and smaller non-points as people struggle to find reasons to still be angry at it?

Well ,sad is a too strong word.I was terribly sad when my kitten died from an accident one month and a half ago.I still think about it each day.

Compared to that ,to things irreversible that matters ,who wins this struggle is meaningless.

But ,if I have to respond the topic....I would prefer that the Wii didnt win the generation. Not because its Nintendo ,I have always had Nintendo consoles even when they werent so popular.

But I dont want casual gaming to overshadow core gaming and drain its resources to that kind of easy and simplistic approach to videogames.

For now I still see all the big projects announced for PS360 ,I have already 13 PS3 games ...I will rentabilize my purchase. So not worried ,yet. But things could potentially turn bad for us core gamers if this continues.

Did not the stranger already explain this? I guess only the hardcore who fled towards the Cinematic Cycle's sunset was listening, so I shall say it again for him. Please listen carefully.

Game developers must make a profit to survive above all else. What matters is how much they make, not how many are sold compared to some other title. Okami Wii could sell only 100,000 copies and still be a bigger success than its PS2 version, as long as it made more money for Capcom than the PS2 version did.

A game which costs $50 million to produce, market, etc. and earns $55 million in sales has profited $5 million. A game which costs $5 million to produce, market, etc. and earns $15 million in sales has profited $10 million. Ergo the game with $15 million in sales has been a better business venture than the one that earned $55 million in sales.

Please don't forget this important lesson. The means must bring about the ends long before the ends justify the means.

No one's arguing against the Wii's viability from a business perspective , in the same way that no one would argue against MTV's viability as a music platform ( from a business perspective ) . yes everyone who works with the respective platforms rich but that's not what affects us personaly , the end result does however .

MTV is a businesses persons dream come true however the end result 50 Cent , Britney Spears etc is the same to me as alto of the stuff on the Wii.

If I had a 25% stake in nintendo it would make this gen alot more enjoayble.

The Wii does have game videos, is now starting to utilize the SD card for storage space and will be getting game demos and downloadable content and already has them for the NDS.

Funny it seems the Wii is doing just find keeping the pace.

You cannot play games from the SD card. You can store them there, but that's it. You still have to copy them back to the Wii's internal memory to play them. "Will be getting" is not the same as "has".

The Wii isn't keeping pace in terms of features at all. It's not even remotely close, and I say that as a Wii owner myself. It is a basic gaming machine with graphics that are barely better than the last generation. The two things it has going for it are a unique control scheme and titles that you won't get to play on any other system and that's all. That is enough for many people of course, but to try and put the Wii on the same level as the PS3 or 360 in terms of features, the online system, or graphics, is just ridiculous because it's no contest.

Obliterator, you got problems.

Mirson, I am going to run to Wal-mart, drop around 450 bucks on an elite just to play watch movies, play music when I have an Ipod?

Ok, fine ignore my post that goes into more detail about Wii features...

If all those features are soooooo great, than how do you explain the world falling in love with the Wii.

Who, that owns a game console, doesn't own an effin computer, DVD player, or Stereo.  Not very many.

Also, the PS3 and 360 have done absolutely NOTHING to expand the gaming audience while the Wii is trying hard to do that.

What...you want less gamers in the world now?

I don't care about gaming markets expanding , it doesn't put any money in my pocket , doesn't make gaming any more enjoyable.

I want the gaming I know and love to stay that's it.

this is your problem...you see...you're a selfcentred bas#$% because you don't care...any true gamer loves to introduce new people to gaming..and play with others...it's part of the experience...

if you don't care...it makes you...well...not a gamer at heart...just a technology freak...well..too bad
