Forums - Sony Discussion - *New BioShock PS3; IGN claims looks considerably better than 360's!

@RockSmith372

That's old news, this is new. The final product is almost here and reviwers probably already have their versions. The proof is in the pudding mate, not what some one says way before the game is even finished. Just go read IGN's report. Also, no games look "identical" on the PS360!

I said all along that this game will have big visual differences. It is a similar comparisson to how Oblivion on the PS3 was superior to the 360.

TOP 12: Deus Ex, Shadow Man, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturn, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Metroid Prime, Zelda (series), Uncharted (series), FF Tactics, Persona (series), Demons Souls, Vagrant Story.

MOST WANTED: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Last Guardian, ICO/Shadow OTC HD

Whether it looks better or worse is a non issue. No 360 Bioshock owner is going to play the PS3 version. No (exclusively) PS3 owner was going to buy the 360 version. All you have is an awesome game available on both consoles. Just like Oblivion and Fight Night, if you own the PS3, try it out. It's just a slightly improved (but improved nonetheless) version of an older 360 game.

 In that case, I better get a PS3 right now

Most of the differences between the 360 and PS3 versions were due to the HDD install for the PS3, something that was not an option for the 360. That and the extra development time Bethesda had to do the port. It was a great first effort on the platform, not that I bothered to finish it.

Seeing as how the results were favorable in producing a better version of the game, it wasn't a bad trade off at all.

I won't be surprised if the PS3 version is noticeably better than the 360 version, there's just no reason for me to buy it personally since I already bought it for the 360 about a year ago, in addition to buying it again through Steam for Windows.

Would be nice if they lowered the price to $40, they still would be making money and they may even sell a lot more. I have a strong feeling though that it is gonna retail at full price.

Will u be picking up Bioshock for the PS3 now with this great news?

Seeing as to how Bioshock is overrated horse shit, no.

Also, no games look "identical" on the PS360!

True. 9 times out of 10 they look better on the 360.

i dount any ps360 owners will rebuy bioshock for the ps3. but i do think it will sell nicely on the ps3. or atleast they have me sold on it, seems how i only played alittle at a friends house on the 360. i would love to own it and play it

Still no sale. If "considerably better" graphics are so important, wouldn't one buy the PC version?

Great news for the PS3. But more than 12 months after the game originally launched on the X360/PC. You expect the PS3 delayed version to be upgraded, the market is continuously improving.

How much will the PS3 Bioshock sell? If it sells one million that would be fine considering the X360 version has sold over 2 million copies. Ports of games are cheap for developers. Developing a game exclusive for a console is much more expensive than porting the game.
