Forums - Sony Discussion - *New BioShock PS3; IGN claims looks considerably better than 360's!

@heruamon

No, isn't it already an awesome game and most PS3 owners do not own it?- that's enough to sell more copies. But, to add all this, plus DLC and PS3 trophies to an already amazing game, than it's even more of a positive... isn't it?

This is great news for Gears of War 3. Same engine, and thus I expect the PS3 version to look outstanding. I can't wait for 2010 :)

Don't hold your breath.

@Acevil

Thanks bud, now edited.

I'll pick it up because I haven't played the game yet.

Even if it's the definitive version of Bioshock, if you've already bought and or finished the game for Windows or the 360, there really isn't a compelling reason to buy it again for the PS3 as well, unless you really loved the game enough to want to play through it yet again (for $60) for trophies and/or the harder difficulty.

It's currently $30 for PC. Unless the PS3 is your only gaming platform (discounting old PCs that have to run at reduced resolutions/detail/frame rates), there really isn't much reason to buy this full priced port.

But if you haven't played it due to being an exclusive PS3 gamer, then this is as good an opportunity as any to play one of the finer games of the current generation.

This title needs to be budget priced, or it won't sell that well...

They've sweetened the pot, but not enough for a full price tag.

Make it 39.99 and it'll do wonders.

I disagree. Bioshock is $40 everywhere else and it isn't doing too much.

But not on the PS3 :P

I don't think that PS3 owners will hop on this game at full price.

If they haven't played it? Why not? It's a great game by any standards.

The only thing going against it is the perception that it's a year old game.

How does the texture and graphics compare with the PC version? That's the question I want to know.

that's not true. 2K Games' senior producer Melissa Miller has stated that there are no graphical improvements to the game over the original Xbox 360 version although some additional content has been confirmed.
