Forums - Microsoft Discussion - VGChartz Members Failure rates.

Look, I'm sure we're all tired of hearing and supposing XBox 360 failure rates. So let's do a poll. For the love of God, don't be retarded and post if you don't own an XBox 360, don't count your three friends, don't count your Cousin, this is only for people who actually own an Xbox 360, or have at one point or another.

Has your Xbox 360 ever needed to be sent in for repairs?

A simple question, with a simple answer. I do not own an Xbox360, so I cannot answer it. Please, I know this is the internet and people love to be retarded when they aren't viable for their answers(Hehehe, nerds can suck my cock lolz, I'll make 5 accounts and say they all crashed! Ps3 ROOOOLZ!), but out of morbid curioisity, what is the failure rate of VGChartz members.

EDIT:
Current Stats: 14 Failure out of 32 replies (43%)

I've owned a 360 since Feb '06. I've had no problems.

As you can see from my 360's blog (link below) I've played 97 different games and have a gamer score of over 10,000.  So I've logged more than a few hours on the machine.

First off, not too many 360 owners here.

Second, I have a 360 and it hasn't failed on me yet. It did get a red ring of death temporarily once and I freaked out and unplugged it. Plugged back in and all was well.

Based on that, I am almost positive this console is not gonna last too long without a failure soon and I will be so fuckin pissed when it red rings for good.

Owned it since November '06.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

One friend has 360 since February 2006, replaced twice.
I bought one December 2006 for bros., no issues.

Chunk, read the instructions, just you.

So as it stands, we have a 0% failure rate on VGChartz. 0/3.

ckmlb: The red rings also appear if your audio/video cable is not pushed all the way in. (This is by design to tell you to check the video cable)

This might explain why you had red rings, checked the plugs, and then you were fine. This probably does not mean that you are heading for the ring of doom. :)

Well, looks like 100% of VGChartz members have not had problems with their 360's. At least, that is how MS would spin this preliminary info.

No, I was palying a game all normal then it happened. My game started acting weird and stuff then red rings and freeze. It was heating up a lot too at least it felt like (but it's always hot).

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I havn't had any problems, got mine Nov. '05 on launch day in EU.

0/4 failure rate, and an appearance of a VGchartz Meme!
