You are wrong... I have seen a Wii game (SSBB) on HDTV before, and it looks way sharper, crisper, and better than SSBB on my non-HDTV.

I also remember reading somewhere that some people can't get the desirable graphics on the Wii on HDTV for some reasons like wrong cables, etc.

@Zenfolder please don't insult me by calling me the Sony Zenfolder, I don't want to be the Zenfolder of anything in the world. I'm already somewhat hard to understand, if I was a Zenfolder I would be near incomprehensible (like your last post). If you really want to see a direct comparison to the Sony and Nintendo value propositions look at the PS1 vs N64 or the PS2 vs Gamecube. When Sony and Nintendo systems have the same cost the Sony system is always perceived (rightly so) as a much better value.

You can say that the Wii is selling better, and it is, but it's selling better at roughly half the cost of the PS3 and only selling twice as well at that. That is why I say dollar for dollar they are about equal from launch. The Wii has sold more consoles, but only by pricing them at half what Sony charges. In dollars they have sold an almost identical amount. If the PS3 was the same price as the Wii I would be beyond amazed if the Wii sold more. When the PS3 gets below 299, probably next year, with a decent backwards compatable box, I am almost positive it will overtake the Wii and never return to 2nd or 3rd in monthly sales. The way, even at 399, the PS3 is picking up leads me to believe that is almost certainly going to be the case.

You can make hopeless and pointless console remarks about hte 360, on that I think we can both agree. I have no problem with the high end going to the PS3 and the low end to the PS2 and Wii. My beef tends to be when people act like the Wii is beating the PS3 on an even playing field when the Wii is closer to the PS2. If you make a budget console at budget prices and it sells more then a premium console it's kind of silly to point out how its selling more; of course its selling more, its at a budget price! The real contest is between the Wii and the PS2 (or Wii 2 and the PS3) and the PS3 and the 360 for the high end. When the Wii beats the PS2 down for king of that generation feel free to gloat away. Seeing as the PS2 still is selling half a million consoles a month though, I think that day is pretty far away.

At the same time If the PS3 is a horrid failure and the Wii is the undisputed future of gaming then find me an 80GB bundle in stock anywhere. I can't for the life of me find a 80GB bundle to buy a friend, so not only would you be proving me wrong, you'd be helping me out as a bonus so I'll resent you and thank you at the same time!

    Actually I disagree pretty strongly on this one, I find Amp to be the only even remotely interesting person flaming back at me on this thread. Bravo Amp, for Queen and country!
