Have to go with Xenogears and Suikoden II. I simply can't stand PS1 graphics anymore.

I agree, FFT and Vagrant Story are the two best games from that list, and I feel Vagrant Story could edge out Tactics as far as the "how does the gameplay hold-up" aspect.

I've recently replayed Chrono Trigger, and despite the excellence, I'm not a fan of the lesser character development, story, and replay requirements that game has, and how well it has held up. Also, Chrono Cross, while decent, didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped.

 

Now, Tactics or VS, oh mama. Two of the most under-rated and best games of all time. Vagrant Story is particularly rough on n00bs, which makes me love it, lol. Not to mention the excellence in all other areas.

FYI, Grand Master Breaker Zenfoldor, still own the game, backed up PS2 memory card save.

Lol, totally agree with u there. VS was a harder game and had a battle system that u needed to master. It got exceptionally harder the 2nd and 3rd time through too. So, this is probably why it sold only ok and why I loved it to.

I too would love to see it in HD, even more than FF13, and on the PS3 too. Here's to wishful thinking. :p

FF13 is going to be big though. I think the charactars in it look compelling and the lead femal is hot! Reminds me a lot of FF7 Just think of the other big FF games, FF7 and FF10. Both were released on new systems and both these games had people waiting forever in anticipation, much like FF13.

VS no doubt the combat system was great and the artwork better and great storyline
