Forums - Gaming Discussion - Myth of Metal Gear Solid 4 being too much for xbox 360 to handle...

The game is not 60fps.

As to whether the 360 could handle the game, I see no reason why not. Whatever is actually taking up the space on the Blu Ray can easily be compressed.

Fuck. Now I have to take a goddamn screenshot of a cutscene just to prove that there is macro-blocking and posterization.

Seriously kid, have you noticed how many cut-scenes you can't actually play. Haven't you seen how half-way through mission briefings you can no longer control anything?

Now why would I lie. I have the game, and I've beaten it. The framerate may hit 60fps here and there, but its definitely no where near that for the majority of the game.

Would you please show me two pics about the game??? one prerendered (I thought the same about some early videos) and one that is not, not because I want any proof, but I'm really curious about the gap between the two...

Shit there has been a lot of posts. The most surprising thing is that barely any real information is being transmitted.

So if this is the PS3 max potential as per Leo-j I expect 360 to be better then once GeOW 2 comes out

Those parts are the onlyones that are in game...but you will agree that even the Wii should have no problems pulling those off.

Any of the action packed movies are not in game. They are using polished up models from the in game engine but are definetly not rendered on the fly...

 There's no point in continuing this discussion, I know exactly what the game looks and runs like its far above 30fps, and its all rendered IN GAME. No CGI.

Thanks a lot, but one of the reasons I asked this to sieanr is that probably he will show to similar pics ans will show us the difference, still I will go to look for more screen to compare, thanks again...

Great idea, 3 DVDs while you watch all cut-scenes in 480P.

Heck, why not also port it to Wii while we are at it?

Oh I smell a fanboy

@leo-j

A lot of people in this thread say that there are frame rate dips. You keep saying otherwise. Hmmm, who should I beleive.

Too much fanboyism.
