The first pic is wii exclusive content, and the resolution is above 720p.There are more of them. 

I also checked the profile for the ps3 version and these screens aren't there.

I think the screenshot is upscaled to higher resolution. Wii only outputs at 480p max.

They upscale screenshots all the time because they often look horrible when on a computer screen and not in motion.

I thought the Wii could do 720p but it would struggle with it. Similar to the original xbox if I am not mistaking.

Yeah, there's all kinds of reasons why this images might have a higher res than 480p. Don't jump to conclusions.

I honestly hope this game isn't HD, because I'd rather have good framerates, cool shaders, and sharp textures (in that order) than pixels.

 I agree, I hope it's not  in hd either. If it is it will probably be 30fps.  it's probably upscaled like others have said.

I mean look at GTA 4.  PS3 vs 360.  One is "True HD" the other isn't.

Which one was said to look better?  Why the one with lower resolution.

It's like giving kids boxes of crayons.  Sure the kid with the jumbo 64 pack can make pictures more colorful then the kid with the ole standard pack.  But that doesn't mean their pictures will look better. Even with the same artistic skill, as often times kids screw up when given too many options.  Too many shades of their favorite color, or widely contrasting colors that look ugly.  etc.

 Your are correct, but the likely of a developer choosing to run a game  in hd is very small. 

Kasz is right to , but an update could change that.
