Forums - PC Discussion - Rumored Starcraft II requirements bogus. Woohoo!

http://kotaku.com/5010798/those-arent-the-starcraft-ii-system-specs-youre-looking-for

Those supposed Starcraft II system requirements? Lies. All lies. More like speculation really, as Blizzard was kind enough to let us know that the gang at Micromania "pulled their numbers straight out of thin air." We would suggest resting assured tonight that, when ready, and not a minute before, Blizzard will be telling you the exact minimum and recommended system requirements in an official capacity. That will most likely be, I'm guessing, after the company gives us a ship date and come in handy FAQ form.

Whew! To think my computer wouldn't be able to run the game decently. For sure, the actual specs must be lower. This is Blizzard we're talking about here.

actually Starcraft II and Street Fighter IV are the 'biggest' two games of the year (if Starcraft makes it this year), but people think it are GTAIV and MGS4..

''Hadouken!''

I didn't really believe it anyway, wasn't the minimum requirements like a Geforce 6 or 7? Way too much for a minimum.

Good, those minimum requirements were too high, IMO.

It wasn't too much, the minimum on the fake specs was a integrated graphics card from Geforce 7 series. The only problem was that the ram was too high for Blizzard's standard.

 On-topic how?

Doesn't matter. If you don't have at least a Radeon 1000 series or equivalent Geforce card, the game probably won't run well.

The RAM maybe is high...though even if they lie and tell you 512 MB is ok and 1 gig is recommended...that ACTUALLY means 2 GB is recommended for max settings...

So if your PC was less than the requirements, you probably always had hopes of getting SCII to run...but never any hope of it running well except on the lowest of low settings.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
